Whisper seemed to melt into the dry autumn grass, shrinking under the sudden spotlight. "Shadow hive..." she said quietly, barely audible though most of the ears present were sharp enough to make it out. Trembling, she paused for a long moment, trying to decide whether she should stand or not. Tris, her alpha, her mother, her role model, she was not the same wolf as before. Whisper felt within her heart that she, somehow, needed to protect her and help her. And that meant doing as her alpha asked. She wouldn't forgive herself if she didn't try. Adulthood was soon to be upon her, and with the pack structure in apparent disarray, Whisper knew she needed to step up.
She pulled herself carefully to her paws, though her body posture was submissive. Looking at the ground, she spoke louder, "Set howled... and I found that Shadow Hive had come... Blast, the Miseo? Niz killed him, but is almost dead, too. Set, and... Lune? Fought too... and then..." she shuddered, looking quickly up at Tris, ears flat and tail tucked, "Dust. The alpha, she found me. Typhoon and Set, and... and that wolf over there..." she gestured with her nose to Boans, "they drove her away, though..."
Whisper was shivering visibly, and her voice trailed off.
(Giving Tris a chance to flip out about Dust getting so close to Whisper)

Lune looked to Whisper and wanted to assist the she-wolf, mainly because it seemed that she was very frightened to have the spotlight on her. Lune did not know that Whisper was the alpha-to-be, she a feeling overcame her saying to not assist Whisper in speech. Looking to her right, Lune nudged Set in greeting and love, her muzzle slightly rubbed against his, her pelt just slightly touching his.
Not taking his dandelion eyes off Ignis and Aethon, Typhoon padded over to a more lonely area and sat down, his black ears perked and alert. He pawed at the ground nervously, for he was not use to being around so many wolves and creatures at once. He did not like the feeling and silent whines echoed in his throat. The thought of Geese came into his mind, thinking about the taste and harness of catching them. He would need to be quick to catch them, which he wasn't.

You can see Tris bristle and harden with tense muscles at what she is told. She's a terrible guardian for Whisper, to her it's clear. How will she ever raise pups of her own if she can't take care of this fledgling wolf? It's daunting. Her eyes flick to the three that Whisper names and points, they've helped her, by keeping Whisper from harm. She paws Whisper's shoulder and nuzzles the top of her head "You're doing well." she tells her in the softest voice she can muster, though it's still edged with angry crackles the intentions were just. Louder, head pulled back so as to not speak directly into her ear she asks "Would you say more? Or do you feel someone else can tell us the rest." her voice grows louder still now, with a reflection, so they all can hear "It seems what has happened is against the codes of Law perhaps. We will address the guardians when it is time."

"Niz is still hurt..." Whisper added faintly. "A little fox helps him, though. He might live." She looked over to Ignis in sympathy, briefly, before laying down and tucking her muzzle under her own paws.

The raptor had been watching the gathering of wolves for some time now, curious as to what was occurring. Geese swarmed around Greed suddenly and he grew annoyed. Deciding it would be more comfortable down by the wolves, the eagle slowly descended upon a branch, a few feet higher than the wolves. His black talons engraved into his perch. "Greed is present, though do not mind him. He is only curious as to what the Free One's are doing."
--------------------------------
She was not a part of the back, and therefore she would not walk straight into their gathering. The blue figure could not bland in well with the background for not only was she dark blue, but her toes, legs, and ears were white! Tail flicking around, a blue and green eyes curiously watched the alpha with interest. Maybe the Cross Roads pack wasn't what she really thought to be?

Boans grew concerned about his mate, Visni. She was quite short with him as she trailed off... was he perhaps losing sight of her? Or was he not paying enough attention to her at this moment? "Visni... my beautiful constillation of love. You can talk to me, you know." he said as he nuzzled her tenderly as he pushed his snout gently into his lover's stomach where she carried their offspring.

Tris licks her ear where she can reach, a flicker of the old Alpha female back again, sweet, kind, nothing broken. There is hope. However, doing this is keeping her from crying out for the news of Niz. She leaves her head low a moment, "You do my proud, my Whisper." she says, again soft, privet words for the not so small pup. She looks at her Pack around her. "Aside from Niz, let us go off to the lake now. We should find guardians there waiting, and perhaps the Shadow Hive as well. It is time to hunt. Remember, those new to the event, and to our home, it can be easier to work in pairs. We want to have fun, but remember we are relying on this as a food source." She takes a few steps forward then throws her head back and gives a short howl, asking them to join, be a family together. Be one. She howls a second time, this one building in power, letting out breath in a controlled manner.

Boans' ears swiveled forward as Tris howled for the pack to gather. He knew it was time... and he was anxious for the winter to come and go. "Visni, my love. It's time." he said as he nudged her lightly, awaiting her to begin so he'd follow her closely after. --- Isis awaited her love, Kohen to acknowledge her presence at this time... but to no avail for Tris had howled for them all. She knew something big was to happen... but did not quite know what was going on. Her heart raced, as she approached Kohen instead. She silently nudged his shoulder as her honey brown eyes gazed into his, awaiting his next move.

Nudging Set to follow, Lune stood up and padded over near Tris. It was almost time....time to ally as one with Shadow Hive. This sent multiple waves of fear along her spine, for the she wolf was greatly afraid of that monstrous pack. Ear flopping around and tail waving in fear Lune turned her head back to Set, looking through her good eye.
---------------------------
Realizing that it was time, the large brown-black male Typhoon stood up as well and padded over next to Lune and Set, eyes locked onto Tris. Weary and somewhat fearful, the male wolf pawed at the floor constantly, his tail twitched in eagerness to get this over with. Would the Shadow Hive dare break the rules? Would they attempt to kill Cross Roads? All these thoughts loomed throughout Typhoon's head, his black ear laid back.
------------------------------
Greed has been in Cross Roads for a good while, so after staring at the wolves for some time the raptor understood what was going on. Cross Roads and Shadow hive would have to become one in order to survive the winter. This amused the bird as he flew to a lower branch, as high as Tris's head. Cocking his head to the side, Greed eagerly awaits to see what will take hold.
---------------------------
Darcy was not needed here, and besides she didn't all that much like Cross Roads. What was so doing? Falling so low as to seek assistance from wolves that cannot even fight? White ears back, the black and white she-wolf turned around and padded away, breaking from a trot into a sprint.

Kohen looks to Isis and gives her a gentle grin, knowing that she must not know exactly what is going on. "In the Winter, Shadow Hive and Cross Roads must work together." He explained, although even speaking the word 'Shadow Hive' seemed to have a harsher tone. The big cat truly loathes the pack for their unruly behavior. But even Kohen can't help but admire their precision and capability. Turning the male listened to Tris howl, chuckling slightly. Of course, Isis and himself can't howl, which at sometimes can make a feline feel out of place. But being Kohen, he laughed it off and rose to his paws, ready to follow the wolves on their journey to the lake.
-----
Nebula appeared startled at first, having not expected Tris' sharp howl to sound within sensitive ears. But is eased back into her fun loving demeanor, long tail flicking and swaying wildly behind her as she listened. Her gaze then goes to the other wolves, wanting to hear them all howl. Even the feline wanted to let out some kind of makeshift howl, but refrained from making sound. Of course cats can't howl, foolish Nebula. Eager, the big cat paced back and forth, looking to where she guessed they would begin to walk to. Tris had spoken of Shadow Hive and Gaurdians, she'd never ran into either, this would all be new and exciting. Unable to stand still, Nebula stands beside Tris with a foolish grin set upon her features.

Sevarious listened to Tris as she spoke of them about to go. His ears raised but a frown formed, Shadow Hive, bah. There had been many times when he'd been picked at by those ruffians, he growled at such a thought. Straying from the train of thought back to reality, Tris' howl filled the air, and then again as she howled once more. Quickly he lifted his muzzle and allowed his own, low toned howl to mix with the alphas as she had requested. Their voices intertwine, but there is still the absence of the whole pack. They should be giving their voices to the fall air, how dare they not do such a thing. His voice billows from his parted jaws, only to fade when Tris' did, if not a bit earlier than hers.
----
Visni's eyes flickered from left to right out of obvious worry. Shadow Hive, Shadow Hive, Shadow Hive. Her head is low and she has leaned upon Boans a bit, not enjoying the thought of lingering with these supposedly rude wolves. While she gave a soft whimper, Visni does not protest the set actions lead by Tris. She remained quiet, Visni didn't feel part of the pack in the slightest, but she would do what Boans advised for her to do. Looking to Boans, "I don't feel right about this." Visni whispered in his ear, lowering her head once more but looking at him with even more worry than before.

From where she lay in the grass, Whisper was strengthened by Tris' words. Though exhausted and overwhelmed, she took long, slow breaths as the howl rose, ready to listen to the chorus of howls that should follow. It was slow to collect, however; as Sevarious joined, she thought of Niz, waiting down across the hills and probably longing to join his pack.
She sat up slowly and leaned against Tris for support. Tentatively, she raised her muzzle to the sky and joined in, a gentle howl that seemed a faint echo compared to the adults', trailing behind the other howls yet adding volume to their joined song.

Isis nuzzled him, knowing he would protect her if need be and tell her exactly what was happening during this whole process since she was new to all of this chaos. She felt in her heart that he didn't like the Shadow Hive whatsoever but she tolerated his slightly unruly behavior towards them... how bad could they be? She knew that she had no clue what she was walking into here, not being technical of course. She had literally just heard of the Shadow Hive not too long ago, and had never met any of them. Thus, meaning she could not pass judgment in any way.

Boans looked at his mate worried now, for she was looking not well. "Darling..." he began as she then whispered her concerns into his lobe. His heart dropped, for he knew not what to do. "Vis, what's the matter?" he said, pausing all together for a moment or two. "Are you scared?" he said drawing himself closer to his mate whom was clearly terrified at this moment. The warmth of his body would hopefully calm her in her time of need.

The genial warmth Tris normally gave off, and had started to again dissipated, but for those who called with her, to them her gaze is thankful, relieved at some semblance of loyalty for a falling Matriarch, from older friends, to her newest, which was more like a sister for her than anything else. "You disappoint me" she says bare faced to the rest, whether in their own little worlds they heard her or not, she has said it. What a proper pack member should never hope to hear from it's leaders. She was to soft an Alpha...
She nudges Whisper "Just to the lake love, I don't wish to leave you alone. You can sleep there, I will be with you, like it use to be." the time before Aethon had come, and Tris had taken to him, when Tris dotted upon Whisper and nearly never let her be, never raised her voice around her, so many nevers...What had Tris done? She looked to Kohen, Nebula, Sevarious and Whisper and nodded once "Let us go." With small nudges to Whisper she turns her nose South and heads away for a hunt with those who dare follow. Those who are loyal, yet neglectful may hang they heads and tuck their tails in shame but follow. Presently, Tris does not care.
