Byorn laughed as she began padding along, nudging Derby's backside a bit to get him going as well. "Let's get a move on then, shall we?" she said as she began heading to the East where she had passed it a while back. It was not too far from where they were, but she did not know how much energy this pup had. "If you would like, I can carry you part way there. Don't want you to have to walk all that way, and waste your energy on the walk there." She said as she matched his pace as well as she could.

Derby attempted to make a growl, but a squeak became of it. Embarrassed, he turned his head away, one ear flopped downwards towards the ground. "I don't need any help. If I want to become Miseo of Shadow Hive, then I need to get stronger." Huffing his chest out, the pup began to march forward as if he was in a wolf army.

A figuire lumbered along, seemingly without a care in the world. A massive male, fitting his name quite well. He was clad in thick fur mottled of different shades of brown and creams, maybe a bit of gray here and there. While his fur was thick, it was slowly thinning, for this male was no spring chicken. No, the gray that lightly dotted his chin showed this well.
Charcoal nose twitched, the scents of quite a few wolves filling his senses. Ahh, new to these lands, Bear was but a humble stranger amongst many. His time withered features gave the male a more, well read appearance. Wise like many elders, yet this male seemed to have the mindset of the younger wolves. His pale green eyes surveyed the lush lands filled with greens that would soon change to vibrant oranges, yellows, and browns of fall. Wrapped up in his own thoughts, Bear had failed to see the figuires ahead of him.
A pup and a white female, close to his own age, what a find for him. Thise pale green eyes seemed to light up at the sight of these distant wolves. Company atlast, for this male, was a social animal. The perks of being solitary failed, for dwelling in the presence of others was where Bear seemed to thrive. Sure, the young females failed to enjoy his aged looks and his knowledge of all things older. But maybe this pair would, maybe today Bear would have that conversation he yeared for. These thoughts perked up the male further, forcing his aching muscles to continue moving. Slowing his pace, Bear lowered his head slightly, yet it was still above these strangers. Knowing that this female had a pup, he would approach slowly, as to not alarm her.

Byorn nodded to Derby's answer, as they continued along their journey together side by side. "My offer still stands, Derby." she said as her head swung to n fro lightly as the padded lightly with the pup by her side. Before long, she was in a little trance, one she usually got in when traveling. All the same, she put paw before paw and concentrated on the path before her as she thought about the next direction, for she had passed the Butterfly Cove days ago. Suddenly a scent caught her attention, as she snapped out of her world she had been engulfed in and her head snapped to the right of where her and Derby stood. She snatched the pup in her jowls (sorry for light power play) and placed him firmly at her paws as she sorted out the scent, hopeful it was just her imagination. To her surprise, it was not. It was a gentle male she had met a while back in her travels named Bear. Once she spotted him for sure, her tail began to wag and she barked lightly to him that it was her, and they were no threat to him any longer. "My dear, Bear. So nice to see you, I am glad we've found one another again." She said, as she nudged Derby. "This is my friend, Bear. Do you suppose he could join us to the Butterfly Cove?" She asked the pup, with a tone of tenderness to her voice.

Derby grew restless and did not trust the male, even if Byorn knew him. He got into position, ready to attack the male as he had done to Set. Talking to himself, Derby zeroed in on him. "The great Derby has been challenged! He must accept this challenge if he is supposed to be Miseo!" pausing for a second, he yelled "CHARGE!!!" And began to run towards the male wolf, taking no notice of what Byorn had said.

A burst of low, fluid laughter escaped the male at Derby's reaction to his presence. Bear lowered himself to the ground, awaiting for this pup to collide with him. "It's great to see you too, Byorn." He called out with a warm grin that seemed to fix itself just right upon his muzzle.
Turning his attention back to Derby, a mock growl escaped him. "Shadow Hive, you say? Such a terible goal." It was more taunting rather than chiding, although he did find it peculiar the pup wished to be amongst such vile beings. Nevertheless, Bear would assume it to be only a phase. A paw reached out as Derby got close, hoping that he'd be able to tumble the pup over. No, he would of course be gentle, for he assumed Derby was of course fragile.

Set prided and preened like a young cockerel and rose, tail curling over his back, head high, such a figure! wonderfully cut from the Earth! Nothing could be so grand as this but the glorious Earth itself! "My most dear Aimé, we shall. My home is humble, and not huge, but certainly it would suit our purposes most wonderfully." He bows to her, and points his nose in the direction that his home lies, off towards the river. Since he loves water it is most befitting, though, wonders will grow when they get there for so flashy a wolf of the Earth.

Derby ran at Bear full force, more hoping than running though. As he neared Bear, something stopped him from attacking the male wolf. HE continued to run into Bear's paw. "I will become Miseo I will! The almighty Derby shall make this so called Bear fall!" Derby began to grow tired and slowed down, his little pink tongued flopped out of his mouth. "I...will....become....strong." The pup stopped and fell, his chin hitting the ground first followed by the rest of his body.

Lune smiled at Set, standing up next to him so their pelts were touching. "Then let us be off...how did you say it? My Amíe..." Trailing of, she broke into a slow trot, her red ripped ear flopped aimlessly through the air, her tail flicked in a flirtatious way, toying with Set.

Byorn chuckled as she watched Bear stop Derby with a simply paw swipe. "Clearly we have a lot to learn," she said referring to Derby "Bear, please... come with us. I'd love to have your company." she said as she picked up the tired pup by the scruff of his neck with her jaws and gently padded forth. She mumbled through the tuft of fur, "I haff miss't you so." she said, hoping he'd understand her muffled, yet genuine words to him.
Before long, the three of them had made it to where she had passed. A wonderous place that she had so simply called "the butterfly cove." for a very good reason. Hundreds of brightly colored butterflies flew around in circles amongst them... finding them upon leaves, the ground, the sky and hovering above the crystal blue body of water within this hidden treasure. Gently placing the pup down, she nudged his bottom into the clearing where a rather large butterfly landed upon the pup's nose making him look like a monster, or perhaps just a pup with a large vividly colored mask upon his snout. "Isn't this beautiful?" Said the elder to the two males she was with, mostly to Bear though. She knew that once Derby was down, he'd be off and playing so she took a moment to rejoice with her friend in a warm nuzzle.

Once Derby hit the floor, he took off. The pup's strange love of butterflies showed in a dark way. HE swiped at them with his small paws, though for some reason the butterflies he swiped at where killed instantly. Upon Derby's paws were small little claws. He was too young for claws, but strangely he had them. With every swipe, a butterfly fell to the floor dead.

Out of the corner of Byorn's eye, she spotted Derby killing the butterflies one by one... and knowing what he wished to be and where her background came from, she encouraged it. "Try pouncing and biting them too, Derby." she said, hoping the young prince would listen. Her attention drew back to Bear as she reclined upon her hind haunches... which ached more than normal. She lifted her muzzle to the skies and inhaled deeply... sorting out the scents of... Autumn? It couldn't be... the season of Summer had only just begun! Sighing lightly, she took notice of the trees beginning to change colors from the tips of them and the air beginning to get frigid as the forests shadows filled the night air. "Derby, keep close to me. It's getting quite dark." She said, as she spotted a den she hadn't seen earlier in this Butterfly Cove. "Would you gentlemen like to settle here for the rest of the night before dawn arrives?" She said, looking from Derby to Bear.

Derby did as Byorn suggested and began to bite and nip at the butterflies. Not realizing where he was headed, the small pup latched onto Bear's muzzle. Derby stayed there hanging, ignoring Byorn's question. He had too much energy to sleep and either way, sleeping in his opinion early was weak. "HA! I got you. I totally meant to do this. It...it was a sneak attack by the infamous Derby! AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!!!" he muffled under his voice, his maw full of wolf.

Byorn chuckled, for she knew that either way Derby would have to listen, for he was too small to find his way home without getting lost. Atop of that, Byorn or Bear would catch him leaving. So either way, he'd have to stick with the elders. "Derby, why must you hurt Bear so?" she said in between chuckles at the mishap that had occurred in front of her. Her tail wagged as she watched closely at what Bear's reaction would be, keeping on her toes in case he'd lash out.

Bear nuzzled Byorn back, enjoying the peaceful time they were spending together. He had missed this elegant being very much. "I have missed you too, dear Byorn." He answered, watching as the pup romped about and attacked helpless butterflies. Every so often, Bear himself would paw at a butterfly who had fluttered too close.
He dipped his muzzle slightly, if only for a moment. And then, he felt it, the sudden feeling of tiny teeth digging themselves into his muzzle. Blinking, Bear looked to see Derby, who had latched onto his thick muzzle. While the pain was sharp, it dulled after a good while. He began a slight, low laugh at Darby. His words rung in the older male's ears, "I have been struck down!" Bear said in a dramatic way. Suddenly, the massive canine fell backwards onto his back. His paws flung themselves into the air, as if he'd truly been harmed by this small pup.
Closing his eyes, he allowed one open to grace himself with the sight of Byorn. "Sleeping here, would be lovely." He said, before quickly going back to playing dead.
