Fetter broke free of the river, which had widened even more at the mouth. The lake here at the base of the mountains is wide, and dotted with small small islands. Across the lapping water expanse the plains start and roll off into the haze of flatness. The grasses there taller than either fox and waving golden and green. Far off to the left little buildings poke above the grass, as though they are demented mushrooms giving off a hazy smoke all their own. The cockerel crowing can be heard even as far as here. Amazing voices those delicious birds. If only those spurs were not so sharp.
Fetter ends her scamper at the sandy shore, stone ground down to nothing in the relentless little waves. So vast a picture amazes her and her little heart beats faster, her purple-red spotted chest rises and falls faster. "Fetter see you catch fish here?" she asks Zevi with much interest, a playful coyness in her voice as well though.

Zevi gawked at the beautiful sight. He had not remembered being here and never knew it was here either. Shaking his head, he looked back over to the rainbow fox Fetter. "Of course I will," he said with a tint of happiness in his voice. Zevi is one that only believes in knowledge most of the time, but now...now he did not care. he bounded towards the water, his little white paws made tracks in the soft sand as he did so. Nearing the water's edge, he observed, waiting for a some-what large fish. A trout swam by and Zevi thrust his paw into the water, grappling the fish with his claws and throwing it out of the water. He went p to the smallish fish and presented it to Fetter. "Now you try," he said.

Fetter watches with interest, purple and red head tipping from one side to the other. "Fetter is colored nice today..." She looks at her purple stained fore legs, but shrugs and pads out onto a large rock. Here she sits, head tilted to the water, ears twitching now and then, golden eyes so intent. She pads a minute at the surface, then hooks a young blue gill and dances across the rock with it as it flops and gasps in the sun. She hops about it and snaps at fins that wave, but never bites. At last growing tired she crunches the head between her teeth. Her right foreleg is now a light light purple in contrast to the other one.

Smiling, Zevi walked over to Fetter, his creamy white tail gently brushed over hers. "Nice going! Got one the first try." Gazing into the water, he stared at his reflection. Zevi had no realized how dirty he was and frowned at the brown stains on his creamy white coat. He took a step forward, just lightly into the water, then slowly, his whole body.

Fetter watched, ears up forward and dances her front paws. "Where does the sandy one go?" she asks her tone coloring in worry. She comes further forward, standing with her toes hanging over the edge of the rock as she looks in the water after him.
Since the Sun is setting the glare makes it hard to see, but he chose to go into the water. there was a reason for it right? a reason surely. She waits, she knows dead things float. If he dies she'll fish him out. Shame, he was cute though a tad addle.

Zevi's head stuck out of the water, the rest under. His small, white feet where lying on a flat surface, that way he didn't have to swim. "I am going nowhere, Fetter. Just taking a cool down." He relaxed, drawing his attention more into the feeling of the water. He enjoyed it, for it was cool against his pelt.

Fetter crouches down on herself, a ball of swirls and whirls and white, fuzzy and warm. She nods and watches him a moment longer. Her thoughts are not all present. The swamp here fills her head with signals and mixes, there is so much there. She shudders and rises and dances across the rock into the sandy stretch, chattering and talking in a hard to understand way. Perhaps Zevi can hear her...
"Dance and whirl, snow that twirls. Hearts that beat and coats that burl. Seasons change but never end, See what's coming 'round the bend? Watch yourself, your neighbors too, Eyes of green see skies of blue." She stops her dancing, finding a wilting mint plant, she chews it and stops her chatter. She seems as though she was going to say more, but no more rose from her throat as she chewed happily on the sweet mint. Her tone the whole time she'd sang was grave.

It seemed to come from the mist of the swamps itself, a creature, smaller than the wolves here yet larger than the foxes. His fur is mottled of grays, tawny browns, and white, with eyes of a murky green almost like some sort of dirty water. There is a way amount him, alarming, as he holds himself with great pride. His head is held high like an alpha, his bushy tail swaying to and fro behind him as he walks. Small paws step lightly, placed upon the Earth with great care.
No, the once happy creature ceases all movement, there are voices. No, singing. There is singing of a distance voice, lacing with the sounds of rushing water. Creatures, creatures, do beware the god of trickery hangs in the air. But no, there is no warning for these animals, no way to escape his presence. For Amin will be upon them without doubt, spewing his lies and leaving a mass of confusion and chaos within his wake. The Gods, they laughed at him as they'd solve the problems, but there were not with him now.
Oh who would save them now? No one, Amin is relentless as he walks towards the multi colored creature and the wolf swimming in the water. Their voices, would be locked into his mind, they would become his own. "Good evening." He calls from the underbrush, his tone tells nothing of his intentions. He just wishes for them to speak, just a word if they would.

Fetter, who's breath is sweet drops her head and cocks it off to the side a moment, why does this one seem familiar to her? She's not met many coyotes and would remember his face if they'd met before...who is he?
She chatters her teeth in rapid succession and hop skips towards him, tumbling head over tail to a stop right before his face, clicking her tongue she seals the fate of her stolen tongue "I be Fetter, who be you oh dusted one of patterned prize. So odd you seem to Fetter's eyes. What do yeh be, what is your style. Twisting tongues or 'waring minds." she does not know what he really is, nor what he does, but gets a weird feeling from him. Had she known she would not have spoken, now it is well to late.

Zevi jumped at the sight of the coyote, curious as to why he was here. Following the rainbow foxes' movement, he cocked his head to the side. "Please, do tell." A single yellow leaf swayed with the wind, slowly falling onto the whitish fox's head. He shook it off, noticing for the first time of the coming of winter. Pulling his ears back, Zevi broke his stare with Amin to gaze into the color changing trees. A cold breeze cut its way through his fur, sending a chill up the small fox's spine.

Listening to Fetter, he was pleased as her voice would soon become one of his own many voices. Then, another voice drifted to his ears, one of the small male fox, he hadn't noticed this one before. Yet nevertheless, their voices were now his to use when he wished. It was that ill intentioned grin that graced his features, pleased with the outcome.
"I am Amin, a god." He answered with great pride, holding his head high. Ahh, yes, he was above these mortals in every way. Well, atleast that was Amin's thinking. And now, it was time for his fun. It would be Fetter's delicate voice that would be used first, as Amin silently changed his voice. "Fetter and friend, why not bow? The God of trickery is upon you now." Fetter's voice rolled easily off of Amin's lips. Although he seemed to have difficulty keeping up her rhyming ways, nevertheless, he was proud. A mocking laughter escaped the coyote, raspy in sound but still laughter none the less.

Fetter jumped, her face actually expressing her surprise as her golden eyes grew quiet wide. "TCHA-tcha-thca kei, devil beasty do yeh be!" She clicks her teeth at him and draws in close, dipping beneath his chin but not touching him. If he wants to look at her properly he'll need to draw his head back or back up. Her golden eyes are half hooded. He's a voice thief, this god, this painted huckster and he has what belongs to Fetter even if she has it still.
She'll teach him! "Oh huckster beast for beast yeh be, fiding fetter's voice unfree. I's not for trade nor to share, godling best yeh takes yer care. Fetter follows Fetter watch. You shall be dogged for you shall see Fettered by the Lock and Key. Chains that bind may hold you fast, serpent tongue who's riddles last. Fetter show you sweet repast, stuffed so full you'll break and pass."
Her speech, which is long for Fetter to say without sing song in her words, for indeed what she's said there is flat out and quick, daring him to follow. It twines through the ears though, and she'd risen onto her back paws, balancing with her fore paws hanging before her, trying to look him in his pretty patterned eye.

The canine does not move, but seems to be stilled by the sudden close proximity of the fox. Inhaling her thick scent, he finally reels his head back. Only catching her image out of the corner of his eyes, her boldness seemed to almost bother the god. How dare she act in such a manner of defiance, hmph. It seemed the coyote was throwing a silent tantrum within his mind, yet did not show within his eyes. With a flick of his tail, Amin takes it all in stride. Looking Fetter dead in the eye, studying the way his reflection peers back at him.
"A beast, you say?" He muses with a mere chuckle, speaking with his own voice. The coyote had dared to try and follow along with the fox's seemingly vicious chatter. But he would only assume she was upset over her voice. "Voices, are such pretty little things." Amin almost whispers such words to Fetter, still locked in a dead stare. It seemed the vixen was almost testing him, or so he assumed. It wasn't unusual for creatures to be bitter with him. He turns to circle around Fetter, tail gently flicking at the fox.
Amin is not being so much as flirty as he is trying to show who's boss around here. This small canine did not scare him, despite her words caused him much confusion. His ears flicked, looking back at Zevi for a moment, the silent male fox. This male seemed to do little to protect Fetter, how rude of him to do so when the big bad coyote could easily have swept them away by now. He flicks his head upwards, looking back at Fetter, watching her contently. Awaiting to hear the fox's little words float through the air and confuse him once more. "Your voices are mine, not a thing you can do." Amin states finally, a bold grin only growing more.

Zevi did not think well of the coyote. There was something strange about him. Something different. But the sandy fox could not get a grip on the thought. Realizing that the coyote was watching him, Zevi shook his head and padded next to Fetter. "Fetter, maybe we should be nicer to the...eh..coyote? We just met him after all and he could be..well..you know." Nervously the fox flicked his tail at Fetter. Looking back to the coyote, he pulls his white ears back. "We mean you no harm...Mr....Mr.?"

"He has said oh sanded one he is Amin a huckster child god." she sounds chiding, or annoyed, it's hard to tell but her voice is /almost' normal sounding. It knocks back into normal though as she approaches Amin once more. She seems to not want to be far from him, perhaps to annoy him?
She does not touch the coyote god, but again is close as she had been before "Coyote God, Fetter's words are thine, but know yeh this it's not in kind. Fetter now know who yeh be, Fetter teach what eyes would see." it's a twisted ditty and unclear throughout the ending, her tone borders innocent, but there is just that one hint there...the one of anger. Though there is nothing she can go and she knows it.
