Basic Rules for overall board
- Common Sense.
- If there is no specific names in the title or if it says open anyone can jump right in.
- When your wolf/wolves are going somewhere else put at the end of your post --EXIT to (where you're going)-- and either pick up a new thread there, or create your own.
- Be polite, not everyone thinks as you do, so respect their ideas.
- Be patient. We all have outside lives, which take up more of our time.
- Try not to double post, though sometimes we need to to keep a thread running.
- Common Sense. Of anything, this is most important.
- Keep an eye on the News Box on the Home page. It's updated with Season and hints to plot as well as short news snippets.
[/li][li] Admin will BAN you if you become to unruly. You will be warned once for negative behavior and depending upon case to case banning is the next step.
Wolven Rules Normal and Fantasy:
- No God-modeling.You're not god, don't try to be like him. Not even I am God, I never pretend to be.
- No Power Play. This is controlling someone else character. I know when there is fights you want to try to get it all through at once, but you need to go action by action. To make a post longer clarify all the little details of the attack and metal stability at that point. Unless both characters Belong to you I should not be seeing this...
Power Play Example: (one player out of two) Wolf rushes Wolfy who backs away afraid of him as he's bitten. Wolf tears at the others ear and leaves it in shreds as Wolfy tries to run away from him feeling trapped.
He watches as Wolfy growls at him then turns and flees. - No one likes Mary Jane. She's to plain and friendly and "flawless"
- No total downers. Everyone has SOMETHING to live for.
- There is a breeding Season. It's in the Summer time. A different section will be on Breeding.
- No Auto-hits or misses. In a fight, which will happen, you will get hurt, and you will hurt others.
- DISCUSS a fight at least some before it properly occurs. This cuts down on hurt feelings and random unintended GM/PP. It also allows for it to flow faster.
- When your characters fight it's ALWAYS an attempt to cause harm, unless you hashed out better detail with your opponents creator how things are going down. For multi-player fights or boards with many others on it make an OOC that discussion has happened in regards to the battle or guardians will be called to break it up.
- Normal wolves, they do not have weird colors, or wings or powers. They do not wear things. Allowing for certain tints and low tones. Ask about it before you place it.
- You wolf will get old, and it WILL die, if we play long enough. When death happens you can choose to stop playing them, or use them now and then in ghost form.
- Ghosts themselves will be less played and hang around the Swamp. Willow Trees have a strong power to them, and are found ONLY in the swamp.
Fantasy Wolves
- Wings, jewelry, extra limbs in general are acceptable.
- Make all powers known in your character sheet, and list 3 things that can be done with the power, and limitations plus weaknesses.
- Even though these are magical wolves some may not be, or some may be hybrids which makes them different.
- Again no GM, these are wolves with powers, but they are mortal and can get hurt, sick and die. None of them are immortal.
Magic Rules ((stolen from an Shinkou Ookami))
Controlling Time is not allowed.
Magic cannot bend or warp time and space completely. If you choose this, we will talk about certain limitations and if I feel you are able to play responsibly.
It's alright for a character not to have magic powers.
Using powers against other characters is ALWAYS an attempt. It is not up to you if your own power works on someone else and make sure to keep that in mind when writing the description.
Different elements for a single character cannot conflict.
Basic List of Conflicting Elements:
Fire and Water
Earth and Air
Light and Darkness
Poison and Healing
Earth(Plants) and Fire
Fire and Ice
Extended Rules- How to Use Magic
Use magic sparingly. Normally a character will only call on their magic for a battle situation. Magics used on a regular basis however for say, their daily life, would be mediocre in performance and display. Meaning: Don't use spells to show off or be mystical and magical all the time.
Magic, when used against another character that doesn't belong to you, is always an attempt. You cannot decide what happens to another character, unless they belong to you, when attacking them with magic. When countering attacks directed at your character, use common sense to judge if your defenses are successful or fail. Blocking every single attack thrown at your character is godmoding, especially if your character doesn't take any damage in the process.
Auto healing is looked down upon, especially when it is used too much. Limit healing abilities to small wounds and scratches. Healing your character to full health every time they are hurt is godmoding.
Controlling or destroying nature is godmoding. No single creature has the power to blow up a mountain or create a typhoon or freeze the ocean, etc. Weather element creatures simply need to be limited in what they can control. Rain storms in a small, limited area are fine.
Telepathy is fine as long as your character is not acting as a "I see all and hear all" type of gloat. Characters cannot know more than you do, nor can they read another character's mind without permission. Even when a character is speaking to another one telepathically, they must have permission from the other character's creator.
Teleportation is classified as a power that warps space, but it's allowed only if the power is not abused. It's power should be greatly limited along with it's use and accuracy.
Breeding and Birth
- Any Wolves who have pups must wait the season to be accurate. We're following seasons but at a quicker pace, so from breeding in Summer time, wait at least 2 weeks before you have them, though the hope is 3-4 weeks. If your species breeds at a different time then please feel free to breed then. Summer is 'general time' keep in mind this makes your offspring born late fall, and they will not be active until near spring.
- A first time mother has 2-4 pups.
- a Second time mother has between 2-6
- third time having young and higher between 2-8.
- Pups are divided between the parents, so whoever plays the mother gets half the pups and who plays the father gets the other half.
- Keep it PG since there are all ages who may come to play. We don't want to scar the innocent. If there is reason behind it elevating place a warning label at the Subject Head stating Explicit content. Lets keep that more to a minimum.
C-BOX RULES.
- POLITE. Be it.
- Don't argue or cause bad blood there. For those with account in Chatango their names are bold and underlined, you can click their name to have a personal discussion with them, or use the PM system.
- Don't SPAM. I'm not a huge fan of the meat, nor stupid things. Being random is fine, but posting two words or so per thing is spamming and is bothersome. Say what you have to say in one or two goes, not twenty.
- You can be banned from C-Box use while still being a member of this site. I will give one warning, then action will be taken in the form of hours-days banning depending on what was done. Perma-Ban if it's persistent.
