NAME: Buck
GENDER: Male
SPECIES: Timber Wolf
SECONDARY SPECIES: n/a
AGE: 4 years
APPEARANCE: Buck looks like the average timber wolf, maybe a bit larger. His fur is a mixture of blacks, browns, grays, and whites, and is thick and well taken care of. He is muscular, but his thick fur is what makes him look so large. His eyes are large and round, and a deep chocolately brown color. Other than a few scars here and there, he's a fairly normal looking wolf.
POWERS: n/a
ABILITIES Buck is a powerful warrior, and although he doesn't like to fight, he's very good at it. He also tends to climb trees from time to time. Never very difficult trees to climb, he is a wolf after all, but still, he climbs some fairly easy trees now and then. For the most part, he's very observant, hyper observant to be completely honest. He picks up on almost anything, and he remembers it. Always a good trait, right?
PERSONALITY: Buck is a rather quiet wolf, more observant than social. Sure, he participates in social situations, but he greatly prefers solitude. He is a big thinker, his mind always spinning with thoughts and perceptions. He has been through a lot over the years, and he prides himself on learning from his mistakes. He's always watching, keeping an eye on things around him and within the pack. There's always something going on, right?
One of his biggest weaknesses is that he typically lets his emotions control him. He's gotten better at controlling them over the years, but there is still a lot of work to be done. He tends to lose his temper sometimes, as well as withdraw from the pack when he gets depressed or lonely. Usually these reactions don't turn out well, but he's learning to think instead of be pulled around by his emotions. A work in progress, you could say.
When it comes to other wolves, his reactions and behaviors can differ. Usually he's a bit quiet around females, mostly because of his past encounters with them. He's even more reserved around pups. He doesn't feel like he should be around them, afraid that he will harm them in some way. His history should explain that in more detail. Once he gets comfortable with a wolf, he tends to be more relaxed and fun to be around, typically in a good mood. He likes to have a good time, and sometimes he can even act like a pup. Usually he's pretty good at adjusting to different social situations.
HISTORY: Buck was born into a strong pack, but his parents were simple pack members. He lived a basically normal life, raised by both parents and loved by his pack and family. Most of his life was spent there, and he had two loves, the second that became his mate. The first lasted the longest, however. He fell in love, but eventually she became mates with one of his friends. He was crushed, but then he found Jolt. She was the perfect female in his eyes, and soon enough they became mates and she became pregnant. They made a den on the mountain side, and when the pups were born, he couldn't have been more proud. There were two, a male and a female. Steath and Miska. They grew quickly, but one day Jolt was off with the pack and Buck went to hunt. When he returned, the pups were gone. He followed their scent, finding blood trails and the appearance of a struggle leading to the den of the mountain's mother lynx. Buck was never the same. He, to this day, blames himself for their deaths. Jolt was in even worse shape. She ended up killing herself, sending Buck into a string of insanity. He had lost everything, and he became withdrawn and eventually the left the pack.
He wandered alone for years, joining packs here and there, but none of them stuck. The pack right before this was the longest he had been in since his first pack. He stayed there for several years, making mistakes here and there and ending up getting a female pregnant with his second set of children. Another male and female pair. The female was named Isabelle Lynn, a wolf that turned out to be almost exactly like her father. He, however, did not know either of the wolves existed until Isabelle sought him out. She still lives with that pack to this day.
Buck has been a part of this pack for a while, but he has only reappeared recently. He doesn't quite seem to remember everything that happened during his time away, a scar over his right eye showing where his amnesia occurred. He had been hunting, a poor choice in prey, a bull moose, struck him on the side of the head. He was passed out for hours. When he regained consciousness the last thing he remembered was leaving the pack lands. He returned in a much slower fashion, healing slowly and painfully. And here he is today, home and safe, but not sure if he can fit in anymore.
