Nebula had curled up beside Tris, staring out at the water that struck down upon the Earth. "Ivrice loved the rain." Nebula murmered, her brothers haunted her mind. Ears folding back slightly, she rested her head upon massive paws. A sniffle sounded from her, a lonely feeling falling upon the young feline. It had was so strange to finally be away from her family like an actual clouded leopard. Silently she envied the wolves for their packs.
Looking to Tris, "Did you have siblings?" It seems she'd dismissed the subject about the shelter. Her gaze was once more casted over the Earth, watching as leaves were drowned in the rain. Studying the way the mist hung over the land, an eerie sight to behold. Just lingering, like a monster still searching for that one meal to cease it's hunger. Perhaps, the mist was looking for them? To devour their figuires in it's nonexistant belly, trapping them in confusion. Nebula shivered at such a thought, to be trapped amongst water. Oh, that would be a terror.

Tris snuggled close to her, hearing a sniff, thinking perhaps she was cold? perhaps she was sad? this a far placed land for her is it not? She closed the gap between them, and put her head across Nebula's shoulders, at the question she did lift it. "I do, or did anyway. From my litter there were four of us, and three lived including myself. The other two were my sisters. We had an older brother, but one pup born to parents first and he survived. I'm sure he's taken my father's place as a Beta now, he was friends greatly with the alpha pair even though he was so young."
Tris is proud of her family, Red wolves don't usually live in large packs, so there were only the two original mated pairs and three wanderers that formed into this one she came from. As Nebula, though she did not know it so well, Tris had gotten close with her brother more so than her sisters. He taught her many things he learned from the Alphas. It's helped her greatly in her role of being one here today.

"I don't suppose they live up in the mountains." Nebula said tauntingly now, trying to go back to her own joking manner. She spoke of the wolves, high up in the heavens, not a single one looked like Tris. The cat slightly chuckles at her own joke, typical Nebula. Looking at Tris with large, feline eyes, happiness returning to them once more. The big cat then looked back outside, resting her head upon paws once more. Long tail flicking and swaying behind her, glad to have forgotten about her home sickness for the time being.
Although, her mind was still somewhat upon the mountain wolves. Those were an odd bunch up there, maybe Tris knew a bit about them? Hmn, best not to bring it up unless the red wolf asks. Purring at her own thoughts, Nebula's thick fur seems to slightly rumble from the purring. Her own tail wrapping around her new wolf friend slightly, it seemed sleep would slowly begin to welcome her. Eyelids heavy, they slowly began to droop down, obscuring her vision until it all went black. Although, this was just her 'eyes resting' and would continue to listen out for Tris.

Tris was yawning, listening to her her friend, in the mountains? "Oh, no, from out over the plains, there may be one or two wolves in the mountains, maybe." She yawns again and nods at this, unaware of anything going on up there. Poor Tris, oblivious to it all in her kindness.
Her friend seem as sleepy as she did, and she had thought nothing of the reply in it being startling in any manner, she was settling down to sleep.

"One or two?" This is followed by a chuckle from Nebula, curious as to why Tris would say something so foolish. Raising her head, the feline looks to Tris with a bit of confusion, was the wolf being serious? "Maybe one or two- loners up there. But surely not those bound by the bond of pack hood." These words seem to trip over one another, asleep stifles Nebula's thoughts.
Silly Tris, making mistakes like that. Nebula was a bit of a fountain, of secrets, one could say. Although there were some to carry to the grave, Tris had already proved to be one of the big cat's best friends. Even in the short time they'd spent together, Nebula found herself at ease with such a gentle soul around. A yawn passes into the air, once more resting her large head upon her paws. Sleeping continued to welcome her, but of course the chatty creature was always up to talk.

Tris looks up now, rising from sleep, unsure at the verbal dance. Why was Nebula saying such things. Poor cat, so tired, but this was something Tris could not leave laying. "I'm sorry Nebula to keep you awake, but that seems odd to hear, packs. There is one out on the distant plains, but only Cross Roads and Shadow Hive live here. None in the mountains."
She looks out the slit of an entrance at the rain, a gold leaf flutters down, brushed across by the wind that scrapes it and blows into the hole, here with no wind it drops with a wet plop to the floor and settles, the rain water pooling in the middle of it. She looks at it, focusing. No, she ought to let Nebula sleep, she needs sleep as well. "I'm sorry" she says, having let perhaps a minute laps from what she said before "Don't mind me. Sleep friend, tomorrow is another day." She whispers, laying her head against Nebula's.

"No, no, the pack of the mountains." Nebula's sleepy words escape once more. They are but a murmer however, although easily heard by keen ears. The big cat would welcome the sleep that overwhelmed her from days of travel. Tris' warmth only made it better, the cold would not get her tonight. The gentle sound of purring can be heard between the silence. Vivid dreams flash in the feline's mind, relaxing to the fullest. The cat seems to be like fluid, expanding slightly, muscles no longer tense or alert.
The night slowly drags on, slumbering beasts hide in their dens as the night dwellers come out for a time before dawn. Hours fly passed, vibrant colors soon paint the sky and banish the darkness back from where it came. It seems this would be the ever battle between day and night. As the moon fell asleep, the sun slowly awoke, casting her warm glow upon the world. Arms of light reach out to the cave where the two friends sleep. Quietly filling their worlds with a light that will not be noticed until they flee from the dream world.

She watches her friend now uncertain. What does she mean? far away? close by? She won't ask now, and lets her friend rest, soon enough she too drifts into sleep, and enjoys the blissful darkness of the dreamless...
Morning breaks in misty dawn, night clinging still to the edges when Tris wakes. She is curled around close to Nebula, sharing the warmth and mingled scents both familiar and non. She got up slowly and crawled out of the crevice into the growing light. Like last night she drew a deep breath of the fresh cool soil, and then of the clear moist air. It was wonderful...this living feeling. Behind though were her questions, but they could wait.

Nebula's eyelids slowly open, shutting, and then finally opening once more. Groggily looking at the blurred figuire of Tris, the light attacked her eyes and caused her to whince. Once her pupils adjusted, the feline stood and began to stretch. Arching her back skyward, front paws slipping out from under her as she lowers her front half. The big cat's body slowly awoke, ready to start the journey.
Looking to Tris, "Good morn-" a yawn interupts her greeting, smacking her lips and giving the wolf a slight smile. "Mornin'" She finishes, wandering towards Tris and looking outside of the small home they'd taken refuge in. Ears perked up, Nebula was curious, wondering if the pack was worried about their alpha female. "Are you going to go home?" The question softly strays from her mouth, there is a silent worry. Perhaps Tris won't have time to wander around with Nebula any more once they get to her pack? This, would be a sad thing indeed.

She smiles as her new friend rises and greets her with a yawn. It was funny to see and her smile broke into a grin. It did not falter as she was asked about going home, she replies with an easy tone "Yes, we're going home Nebula, they may need me, I'm expecting Aethon to return home if he has not already." her tail waves, happy about the thought, to be able to tell him she's going to have pups.
Poor Tris, poor Nebula too, for neither of them knows the news about the pregnant Alpha Female's loss. She shakes the gathering mist from her thickening coat and looks away towards home "You'll like it there Nebula, there are friends, good wolves like me." She will wait for Nebula to stretch more, and get ready before heading out. In the back of her mind is the lingering conversation from last night. It seems like a dream.

Nebula grows eager, "Really?" as if Tris is just taunting her. Friends, warm hearted, loved to the core, friends. A new family perhaps? That would be lovely, despite it being the morning, Nebula is already shifting from paw to paw. Ready to leave and see 'civilization' in a sense.
"Do you think they'll like me?" She asks as she leaves the cave, looking up at the sky. Eyes squinting and nose wrinkling at the light. Long tail flicks wildly back and forth, hardly able to hold still at the moment from Tris' news. Nebula awaits for Tris to lead the way, to places far away, that'll take Nebula away from any sort of home sickness.

Tris only smiles, it touches her eyes with dancing light, laughter at the notion of worry. Will they like her? Certainly so? Will they love her? Yes. There she will have family.
"They will like you Nebula, they will love you. I am only the first to welcome you to the family." she nips Nebula's ear and takes off at a slow run "But first we need to get there!" Her voice and laughter float over her shoulder, Off! Off to be close again!
