The wind howled through the air, tension and adrenaline flew with it. Leaves fell onto the ground thanks to the sudden breeze. Crunching echoed throughout the forest. A white paw stomped the ground where the leaves laid to rest. Only a few muscle flexed as the white animal crouched, stalking a skinny black rabbit. The rabbit ate amongst the frosty grass. The sun, mixed with orange and red, began to rise on the horizon. A branch cracked under the animal's paws, the rabbit, brought it's insanely large ears up and looked amongst and around the trees.
The white animal, a wolf, sopped did in its track. The white wolf was hungry, and would feel rather unintelligent if he could not kill a simple life form such of a rabbit. Believing that all was well, the black rabbit continued with its small meal of seeds from oak trees, called acorns by many. Taking a step forward, the wolf kept his amber eyes on the small rodent straight ahead of him. being downwind helped greatly and gave the wolf the advantage over the rabbit. the wolf stopped once more, as close as he could possibly get to the creature. Using momentum, the rather small male wolf shifted all of his weight onto his haunches, stretched out his long front legs, and pushed off the ground.
Flying through the air, the rodent soon noticed his death was upon it. The rabbit attempted to flee, but the wolf had already been upon it's back, digging his fangs into the black rabbit's neck. It struggled for a moment, gasping for air, but it did not succeed. As the rabbit fell limp in the wolf's mouth, he began to feed. Finishing up his meal, the wolf, known as Chaos, cleaned himself of the weak scented blood and relaxed, content with his meal.

Eira bounded through the wooded area, tail held high in a playful manner. The She - wolf gazed around, taking in all the smells and sounds she could. She was always happy to explore new areas, never knew what to expect. She continued to walk through the terra till an enticing smell entered her nose, the smell of fresh rabbit. Eira turned towards that direction and padded towards her new destination wondering what awaited her.

[glow=red,2,300]Another breeze flows by Chaos, the same as before only with a new scent amongst it. The scent of a she-wolf. The scent of a loner. He was rather curious, that Chaos wolf. He tended to like loners and sometimes even envy them, though he did not know what he would do if he were one at the moment. His white feet began to move forward, unaware of what he was currently doing. Heading towards the scent, the white wolf took in every detail of the forest, the stones, the trees, and even the little abandoned mouse holes.
Approaching upon the unfamiliar scent, Chaos could see a White figure heading in his exact direction. He might admire loners, but Chaos was always weary of them. The black hairs on his back began to stand up at a forty degree angle. His ears were pulled back in a defensive maner, his shoulders tensed. Chaos was small for a male Iberian Wolf. He knew that if this stranger was powerful and deadly, he would not stand a chance if they headed into a fight. As the she-wolf began to approach Chaos head on, he brought his head up a little high. "Greetings traveler. What might though be doing in the forest of death?" [/glow]

Eira tilted her head at the stranger. Not quite sure what to think of this one. " Wandering, taking in the smells." She said with a bright smile and a friendly wag of her tail. Then she boldly walked up to the wolf, close enough to smell his neck. " You smell very nice, I'm Eira by the way." She added. She stopped fearing most things lately, after all the worse that can happen is death right?

[glow=blue,2,300]Chaos was surprised by how bold the white wolf was. Stepping back with his left paw, a growl of warning came from within his throat. He admired the compliment, but a wolf such as this could be too cocky as to how she'd act around pack wolves. An ear raised up as Chaos coked his white head to the side, blue eyes staring into the female. "Forgive me, Eira. I am only not used to bold wolves that do such as you did. But I thank you for the compliment." He bowed his head, at the same time raising his other ear upwards. Bringing his head back up, Chaos responded. "I am Chaos, a hunter of the Shadow Hive pack. Tell me, where do you hail from?"[/glow]

Eira stepped back some to give him his space. " Heh, sorry I forget sometimes proper etiquette to deal with others. As for where I' from I've been traveling for so long I don't even remember." She said with a slight smile and regret. Her tail swished back and forth as if deciding where to go.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Chaos smirked at the she-wolf's answer. IT seems to him, that many no longer remember where they once hailed from, be it from around this area its self. He lowered his rump onto the ground, the tip of his tail made a slight wag movement for the white wolf was somewhat amused. For what? No one knew.
"Did you not once have a family? A pack? One as beautiful as you should not be wandering alone, especially here in the Hive's territory." Chaos had no feelings off this wolf. The saying of beautiful was only to be polite to the stranger. The black hairs began to relax on Chaos's back, but the wolf remained tense. [/glow]

" Hmm, why yes I did have a family. Nothing special, so I forgot, or could have been bad. I don't know the mind is funny that way. We only remember what we want to remember, whether we realize that fact or not." She said completely oblivious to the complement he gave her. " As for wandering alone, that is not normally so, often enough random ones walk with me... curious as to my upbringings and such. Why I've had all sorts of creatures exploring with me; wolves, birds, foxes, rabbits, why just the most random of creatures. And it's all been real fun, through most of the time only wolves that follow me are males that seem to have some strange obsession to mate with various loners, it is quite annoying." She rambles on not really thinking about what she is saying. Eira shook her head and smiled nicely. " I'm sorry I'm talking a lot, It's been really quiet lately and feels weird to be actually talking to someone again." She added on bowing her head ever so slightly.

[glow=purple,2,300]Chaos attempted to chuckle, but more of a croak came out of trying. "That may be true, but there are also those who remember, and yet cannot forget their past. But enough talk of those things, for I know many that suffer as such." pausing, the gears in Chaos's mean began to turn as he thought of what to say next. "Foxes and birds? We tend to have many of those here and there. We have Fetter, the rainbow fox such as Greed, Pride, and the Old Raven for birds." Chaos held back a yawn, not wanting to seem rude though it was rather obvious. [/glow]

Eira gazed around the area, her ears flicking at almost every sound made. She then turned to Chaos and smiled. " Hmm so what is it you normally do for entertainment around here? I can understand standing around talking to a stranger can be quite boring." She said hoping to use herself as an excuse to not be bored.

Chaos was actually quiet bored, and agreed with the she-wolf known as Eira. But he did not want to be rude, so he did not nod in agreement. His tail swept the ground, for ants were crawling upon his tail. "Entertaining you say?" he took a moment to think of something that was not to brutal sounding. "For entertainment, my dear lady Eira, the Shadow Hive pack seeks out territory and kills any that inhabit it. Though if this is not the 'entertainment' you seek, then look for the Cross Roads pack. Their entertainment includes frolicking through the hills."
Waiting for a response, a sudden itch came to Chaos's right ear. Lifting his left hind leg, he scratched the spot vigorously, a tiny flea plops onto the floor. "Disgusting pests," was mumble under his breath.

Eira frowned at this. " Killing senselessly is a waste. As for frolicking that to is wasteful. Tell me do you know your land as well as you should? Such as what kind of creatures live in it? or what kind of trees there are? Caves, rivers, and so on? My type of fun isn't mass murdering nor is it frolicking... but to learn about all there is around me." She said with a nod. She knew she probably just said something very stupid and offensive, but she couldn't help to speak her mind.

Jaire giggled as his stomach announced it's wish for sustenance. It'd be only an hour since he'd had a little taste of jack rabbit, and even that had been of lean and stringy meat; no doubt the carcass had starved to death, being pitifully skinny and all.
His tail lashed playfully between his legs, his nose straining to take in all of the scents that ran like a chaotic whirlwind through the territory. And et for all his almost puppish personality, a cautionary note still pestered his mind; Sabre had been just one wolf, one demented beast of course, but still just one. Perhaps he was supposed to have learned from the experience of Sabre... and an unpleasant lesson that had been.
It was all in the past of course, and Jaire turned his attention to the more pleasant matters he was presented with; making a new friend perhaps? Or maybe more along the lines of finding a supplementry meal with which to feast upon. Either option sounded enticing to the canine, and his maw crinkled into a doggish grin as he contemplated them.
His fur was formulaic for an Artic wolf, long enough to withstand the frigid temperatures, and short enough that it didn't get in his way. Of course, hailing from the North had left him with an undeniable accent, one that he found hard to mask, and therefore embraced; what was the point in struggling over something you couldn't change?
"Thar's noo point tae et." He consoled himself woefully aloud, though only the landscape could hear him. "You'll be tae seein' creetures soon. Friends tae make aye?" He didn't normally chatter so, not to himself at least.
But being alone was starting to take it's toll.

[glow=pink,2,300]Chaos nodded in agreement with Eira, his tail flicking around even more. He was growing bored, and he was making it rather obvious. Noticing this, the white wolf stood up and brought his maw to the air, smelling for any signs of game. The scent of more rabbit filled his leathery nose, as did the scent of blood and yet another wolf. An annoyed sigh left Chaos's mouth as he began to head in that particular direction. "Yes, I know most of the territory, but not all. There is another wolf about, Eira, and I suggest for the better good of you that you leave. Though if you wish not, then I suggest you follow me."[/glow]

Eira frowned at this, she saw no direct reason to just up and leave and she shrugged and stood as well. " After you then M' lord." She said almost flirty-ish, feeling the random desire to give him a title besides his name. She stuck her muzzle in the air and scented slowly. " It's a male." She said bluntly before flicking her ears. " And I do believe you have another flea on your ear." She added with a smile as she began to trot after Chaos.
