Orca barely took heed of the pup as it appeared next to her, merely turning an ear in his direction while she kept her eyes locked on the grown strangers, though a bemused expression softened her gaze. Though she hated the idea of killing a pup, even one a stranger to the pack, she would do so immediately if the alpha commanded it.
More likely, she knew, it would be Blast turned loose upon the tiny ragdoll pup. Then, she would only need to bounce aside to stay out of the path of his blood-raged jaws.

When Dust heard of one who wished to take the place of Miseo, she grew curious. The voice was small, but proud. Her eyes flicked to the sight of... a pup. A pup? Cold laughter suddenly flowed from the canine's jaws. Looking to the small bundle of fur beside Orca.
Stalking closer to Derby, she loomed over the pup, a cruel grin on display. "You, wish to take on the place of Miseo?" There was another few rolls of cold chuckling, shaking her head. Dust took a glance at Orca, noting the pup did not have Orca's markings. So, this pup was alone? Yet, she could smell the stench of Cross Roads upon it. A Cross Roads pup yearned to be of the Shadow Hive, that was quite interesting. "Pfaw." Dust sounded, pups were not her favorite, not in the slightest.

Dust did not cringe as the alpha of Shadow Hive approached him. Instead, he held his ground, puffing his small chest out. "Of course I do! It would be an honor to serve the most powerful wolf in the cross roads." taking a moment, the small pup bowed his head. He felt awkward, for he has never down it before. But Derby remembers it being a sign of respect. Bring his head back up, he stared into Dust's eyes. "I will train the rest of my life if that is how long it takes me to be Miseo! The pathetic cross roads pack is too soft for a wolf such as I!"

Her bones could no longer carry her, as she stalked the pup quite slowly as she approached softly toward the mischievous pup called Derby. "You. Come here." she hissed, now angrier than ever. Her eyes grew from a slate blue to a deep crimson red as her muzzle began to froth in anger. Her bony tail began to thrash from side to side, as she began to utter demonic words under her breath. She hated being ignored, for she as been so lovingly snuggling Bear when the pup disappeared. Her fur stood on end, as she seemed to grow in size as her anger heightened. "How dare you leave my side, little one." she said, as her neck cracked in an un-wolf like manner as a screeching came from her frothy jowls... which was not a hue of white either. ....Was that blood? //Shit// she thought to herself, as she had been obviously found out about her inner-demon. Although regretting this instantly, she continues as she drew herself closer to the other wolves... claws digging into the ground. Surely, she had proven herself to be a strong old female in this moment... and who doesn't love a strong elder? But at this moment, she was worried that Dust, the Alpha of this pack would perhaps... attack? Only time would tell, and Byorn was not ready to pull out of her demon-ways.

Bear rushed after Byorn, struggling to keep after her. Quickly he took notice of Byorn, watching as she grew into something different all together. This was not the Byorn he'd been previously whispering to, about how pretty she was, this was not the Byorn he'd come to know. Bear stood by her side, yet, he had lowered his head, trying his best not to whine. Bear was strong, but Byorn had grown frightening, unknowing of what to do, he'd try to comfort her. "Byorn, Byorn, it's alright." He cooed, allowing his nose to gently press against her cheek. "It's alright, he's young." Bear continued trying to reason with the female. No, no, no, this could not be. His pale green eyes set upon her, Dust, her no. Not now, not ever. Such an abomination to still be alive. But how? How was Dust still living after all this time.
--
As the irate elder seemingly appeared out of no where, a snarl tore from her lips. It was not directed at Byorn, no, it was towards Bear. How dare such a fool walk upon her lands, surely he did not believe he'd leave still living? With Blast out, Dust would do away with the elder herself. "Who are you to snap across my lands?" Dust sneered towards Byorn, taking a daring step forward. Long since forgetting about the pup at her paws. He would have to wait for now, for Dust to decide his fate. "You have brought that, fool, here." Her words were harsh, looking to Bear with utter hatred.

The young and determined but grew irritated by the older wolf's presence. Pulling his black tipped ears back, he turned and face Byorn with an angered face. "No!" Pups almost never denied an elder's order. But Derby was as close to Shadow Hive as he could get at the moment, so he dared not leave that chance behind. "I will and shall not go back Byorn! My life and allegiance stays with Shadow Hive. I told you, that I wanted to be Miseo. This is my chance...so I will not listen to you!" Somewhat amazed by how he spoke, Derby almost sounded as if he were fully matured, though only at the moment.

Orca, still silent, stepped to the side, ringing around the newcomers with a thrill of adrenaline pumping into her veins. She cast a glance at Chaos, hoping to meet his eyes briefly to will him into motion, as he needed to help protect his pack as well; there were many strangers in their midst, and more seemed to be arriving every moment.
Her muscles tensed, she prowled to flank the newcomers at a relatively safe distance, waiting for the moment should she need to strike. All the while, she was emotionless, her eyes simply staring at this strange elder and her friend.

Chaos was frightened by all the tension in the air. He knew he might regret this later, but it was what he had to do in orde rto not die. The whitish wolf turned around and ran, his tail between his legs. The deserter did not know where he was headed to, only that it was far away from the Cross Roads.

Byorn began to snarl at Dust as she spoke so harshly toward her lover, Bear. She had grown fondly of him yet she was still livid that the pup had disappeared. He was her responsibility at this time, not any one elses. "I am not mad that he disappeared," she said in a demonic tone as her voice became raspy and cold "I am angry that he left without permission." said Byorn as her body began to shake and seep blood, yes.. blood from her ears and nostrils uncontrollably as she suddenly fell to the ground as she began seizing and convulsing as the demon escaped from her body as her eyes became blue once more. Byorn was no ordinary wolf, there was something about her that was strange in the least...

Bear gave a yelp, leaving over Byorn unsure of what to do. All he wanted, was for this to stop, and for Byorn to not be angry any longer. He pressed his paw on her convulsing figuire, hoping that if he stopped her movement, maybe she'd be okay. Attempting to still her body, Bear struggled to be aware of his surroundings. Taking a glance at Orca, the older male's ears flicked back. No, minions would not be tolerated. A snarl ripped from the usually calm male, who panicked as he watched this gorgeous creature. Trying to keep away the thought, of his love leaving him, Bear continued fight for his composure. "Please Byorn, please." Bear repeated softly to himself.
--
Dust watched this horrific scene, reeling her head back at the sight. Disgusted, maybe this elder would work herself out and get off of Dust's darn land. Yet, Bear's open back was turned to her, who was she to deny such an opportunity? There was just a sudden lunge as Dust took hold of the back of Bear's neck, giving the male a good bit of a wound. This would do, serve a warning to him, he was not welcomed upon Shadow Hive land, ever. With a snort, the female left Bear to tend to Byorn, watching Orca's movement from afar.

Byorn was calm for a moment... regaining strength from this last spell as Dust made the worst mistake she possibly could have. Feeling Bear's weight upon her was a great help, but this was not his battle any longer. Her eyes now, instead of crimson turned a shimmering shade of Emerald. One that wasn't a typical color for any wolf that was pure wolf... she was more enraged than ever before, for this female whom was pitifully called an 'Alpha' had attacked her lover during a convulsion. Oh no... this was not good for Byorn could feel the heat coming from her eyes, as if her head was to blow off at any given moment. Her body began shuddering with anger as she could not hold in her temper any longer. Between Derby disobeying her and Dust interrupting her demonic spells... this was the final straw. "Dust, dear.." she said as her tone got raspy and deep, as if the devil himself was speaking, "I'd run...." she said as she lunged at the Alpha of the Shadow Hive with all her might. Her eyes glazed over, for he had taken over her like never before... Byorn had NO control over her body or her mind. "Come out, come out, wherever you are..." it was like one of those scary movies, where one could not escape. She would tear down trees at this point to get to Dust. Byorn's muzzle was filled with blood as it spattered all over the others as Lucifer himself spoke through the elder's body. "I shall kill you ALLLLLL." the devil screamed as Byorn shuddered from the pain the devil was causing her body, for she had lost all control at this point.

Perhaps it was cruel to simply observe as the seemingly possessed creature began ranting and raving. Perhaps it was cruel that the edges of Tash's lips curled into a delicate smile, amused and something akin to unimpressed by the development.
His cranium swung lazily to watch Dust; it was her land after all; her problem. He'd do as she said if she cared to order him about, for despite his size the brute was content to take direction, even if it did come from the most annoying creature he'd ever met.
He was a little curious, perhaps a little concerned of course, but he'd learned over time and experience that it was best to remain calm, even when faced with something unnatural.

A yelp tore through Bear at the sight of this, monster. This was not Byorn, this was satan himself, who'd kidnapped his love. There was this silent anger, how dare the devil! How dare he take Byorn from him, for this foolish purpose. Rising to his paws, the male tried to gain this courage. He tried thinking, anything, something. Old brain working, almost pained to try and come up with any sort of plan. What could he do? Dust had done this, that damned creature. He cursed that female with all his might, yet he couldn't let Byorn kill her.
That wasn't the gentle female he knew, she wouldn't want that, surely not. Brown fur rose in frustration, pale green eyes watching Byorn. Or, rather Lucifer. The male would do the only thing he truly knew how to do and defend at all costs. Old muscles, bound tightly from years of Bear drilling himself, bettering his strength. His size, it would be his best friend at this point as the male rushed after Byorn's body. Fur raised, ears down, Bear raced to stand before Lucifer. Could the devil be talked down?
"Byorn? You, whoever-- you are." The male was hesitant, what was he supposed to say? With a tone so cold and harsh. It would only be fit to speak to the enemy in such a tone. "You must calm down." Bear was almost pleading now, that plan had broken down in mere moments. Maybe, Bear was not so strong after all, no, not in the slightest. With blood splattered fur that painted along his sides and flecked his features, the male gave the raging creature a stern look.

The small wolf was not frantic, but she was alarmed by this sudden change in the elder. Looking at Bear's shocked features, it only raised her worry more. Not for their sake, but for her own well being. "So be it." Dust snapped back, foolish, foolish Dust. But before anything else, Byorn was suddenly throwing herself at the canine. Who narrowly managed to get away from the elder's claws, seering pain ran across her back legs. She hadn't gotten away to the point of not being harmed.
Light upon her feet, Dust hoped to out run the elder, wear her down. That was how Dust did things, brute strength was never used, for Dust did not have it. As she danced away from the enraged female, she moved closer to Tash. Looking at the old friend, studying his smile. Unable to help it, a smirk played upon her own features. She looked at herself for a moment, blood corrupted her once white fur. How dare that elder! With a slight snort, she watched Byorn warily, ready for next moves. Studying Bear's pleading, she scoffed. But one could not help but admire the bravery Bear showed, to talk down upon this wicked canine. Although, Dust liked living, and death by raging elder did not sound pleasant in the slightest.
"Tash, I'm surprised you haven't broken down and cried." There was always time for an insult however, always. Glancing at Tash for only a moment, her eyes then went back to Byorn and Bear, then to take a glance at the pup who aspired to be Miseo. Well, he would probably be scarred after seeing this. She held no sympathy for him, however. After all, this was Derby's fault.

Orca let out a snarl as Chaos turned tail and ran, but held her ground; the coward would certainly be dealt with in time. As Byorn began to change, however, Orca began to have second thoughts: was this another rager, akin to Blast? What was happening to this brittle old wolf?
She glanced towards Dust, taking strength from her Alpha, but she dared not be the first to attack. No: she had self-preservation enough, Orca wasn't going to move in until Blast was also, as a one-on-one fight was going to only result in injuries that could spell death in the coming winter.
