Orca's dark blue eyes stared at Derby as Onisapher snatched him up, coolly calculating. She hadn't seen the pup since the day that rabid female had chased him from the forest along the riverside, but had smelt him trailing Dust around the territory. She wondered idly how such a large wolf had ended up a pup-sitter.
At Mckenna's comment of 'young hairball,' she huffed a slight laugh in agreement.
She avoided Dust's gaze, of course; she would give the alpha no trouble, and was accustomed to the ritual of sharing the geese migration. The Guardians made that law a necessity, whether Dust commanded it or not. She looked lazily to Nero, a knowing smile turning up the corners of her lips; he too was of Hive blood, and used to the laws of the valley.

Solstice continues to watch quietly from the sidelines. Her eyes always shifting between the wolves, always landing on Nero in between each new wolf she looks at. Looking at each sin brings a smile to her face, two of them she doesn't know but the snake was rather helpful in understanding something. Solstice wanted so badly to move around, but she knew the slightest noise would cause everyone one of them to hear her. And she was supposed to be dead, so it would probably be a very very bad idea to be found. Her mind wandered while she thought of the things Dust said, geese hunting, truce between the two packs for a short time, and guardians... guardians... what valuable creatures. If only the pack knew that the guardians and her go way back, to when she was just a pup.

At the enterance of Derby, who was easily picked out, Dust's eyes took a slight gleam. Giving Onisapher a slight look, Dust leapt from her perch high above the wolves. Landing upon the ground with a soft thud and a flurry of loose dirt. She sauntered around the wolves, dangerously casual. Dust eyed each wolf as she passed. "Good of you to join us." Dust mumbles to Wrath as she walks, obviously not in the greatest mood. There is annoyance, an obvious bother with how the Gaurdians work. Gaze flickers to Lust and Envy, watching them with just a hint of amusement. "I take, you will be joining in the geese hunting?" She inquires, to Envy. If the reptile can't catch them, Dust figuires he'll certainly injure them, making it much easier to catch.
It doesn't seem as though Dust waits longer for an answer, walking away from the sin, tail flicking at his snout. Dust just seems to be boredly walking through the pack, or is it more? It appeared something with putting off the canine, who grumbled every so often. This would have been a handy time for Blast, she'd easily just bite or snap at him for a good while. Every so often, her tail will flick at the muzzle of someone without warning, as if to keep them on their toes. "Hmmmn." Finally crawls out of her lips as she stands infront of Onisapher and Derby. Looking down at Derby, eyes narrowing just a hint as she leans down. Lips peel back as she speaks, "I expect geese from you too." Dust warns before slowly moving away.

Solstice flicked her ears as she watched dust slowly move through the crowd. Her blue eyes were fixed on the Alpha as she seemed to be looking for something, or someone. In the back of her mind Solstice hoped that the meeting would end soon so that she could get up without being killed. After awhile she got bored with watching Dust and switched her eyes to the other wolves, mainly Nero. Her fascination with him annoyed her but she couldn't help it, she did not want to get caught just because Nero might be punished. Solstice let out a very low sigh as her gaze switched back to the Alpha as she seemed to edge closer to where she was hiding.

Rather than watching Dust, Orca watches everyone else, as is her habit. She judges their reactions, careful to see how some may cower more than others, or watch her more warily than others. As Dust passes Orca, she doesn't flinch in the slightest at a testing tail flick, sitting back and keeping her eyes passing over the rest of the group.
Derby catch a goose? A smile pressed back onto Orca's lips. She, too, would feel him far less worthless if he were able to fend for himself. Someone else's pup, not even of their blood: Derby was a stray. Granted, he was the only pup alive in the pack, so perhaps that was something to protect. Perhaps. If he proved himself.
She suppressed a yawn. Normally she'd have let it loose, but she didn't dare offend her moody alpha.

The small pup had no idea how he would catch a goose, but he would teach himself different tactics on how to catch one. Trial and error as some would put it. "Yes Lady Dust, of course I will catch a goose...err, geese." His eyes Dashed to Onisapher with a look of confusion. Does he need to rely on quickness and strategy instead of running straight in? The pup did not know what he needed to do, but he would find out.
-----------------------------------------------------
Hakurou would let Dust beat on him if she really wanted. The brown male liked the feeling of pain, and so when it was his turn to where Dust flicked her tail at him, he only blinked and stared at her. The large male did feel awkward in this situation, though for he was only a few day old pack member. Hakurou has had very little experience in killing geese, but plenty with ducks, though he thought the taste to be bitter. His eyes looked from Derby, to Wrath, then to Envy and back to Dust.
----------------------------------------------
The serpent could feel Dust's annoyance and slithered off her back and onto the ground, only to follow Dust around. He blended in well with the leaves, and there were many wolves which meant disaster for him. If any wolf steps on him, Wrath would be upon them in seconds, and they would be dead. "Doesss the massster want thisss one to ussse paralassisss inssstead of poissssonoussss venom? If thisss one usses the poisssonousss venom, then the sssshadow hive will be poisssoned asss well." His black tongue flicked out constantly as he slowly raised his head dup to Dust's level.
-----------------------------------
Envy nodded his head at Dust. "Of course I shall hunt with the Shadow hive, for my bite with kill one of those worthless birds in a matter of seconds." His black claws dug into the ground as Envy opened his mouth widely to show the rows and rows of teeth within his mouth, all razor sharp. A pool of saliva dripped onto the ground from keeping it open. Envy shut it then edged his tail around in a eager maneuver.
------------------------------------------
Lust only watched Dust talk to the others as she stayed more towards the back. A pup catch Geese? This made her snicker, for such a thing seemed stupid to her. Gazing around with her seductive-blue eyes, Lust padded forward more to hear Dust more clearly. A sigh escaped her white maw, for Lust was also slothful, not wanting to do any sort of work.

Onisapher saw Dust give him a look as everyone seemed to be doubting the little pup he called his brother. Being the Miseo and all he had to help teach Derby the ropes and all the ins and outs of the pack. "Kid," he began, "The geese are smart, you see. They know you're there even if they don't see you. Understand that and don't get mad when they fly off." he said as he turned Derby clear around so they're snout to snout. His eyes migrate left, toward the migrating geese, then right toward the rest of the pack whom seemed to be snickering. Before continuing his lesson, he lunged forward at the group slightly and snarled at them, allowing grotesque drool spatter upon their faces as a warning to hush up.
"Now, when they land you need to crouch down low...." he said, focusing on a frog in the slight distance. "Kid, go for that one. Make sure you're quiet and don't let it get away." he said, pushing him with his cage-like fangs to sort of give him a little bit of a start to get a move on toward the frog. Onisapher's eyes migrated upward, watching the others to make sure they don't harm Derby and to make sure they everyone was being respectful during a lesson.

The pup nodded his head in what seemed to be a playful way, but was actually very serious. Following his brother's position, Derby crouched and slowly crawled towards the frog. He has caught frogs in the past, and this should be easy. As the pup slowly descended upon the frog, a sneeze escaped his maw and the frog ran off. Oh how irritated he was! There were so many words he wanted to say aloud, mainly because he had just made a fool of himself in front of the whole Shadow Hive pack. Oh how Dust would be disappointed but he would show her! He will get a goose...not, geese! Maybe even 50 of them! The thought sent a silent smile to Derby's mind.
Looking to Onisapher, Derby's black ears dropped in both frustration and sameness. "I..I'm sorry brother. I made myself seem like a fool to the pack. But I will show them! I will slaughter so many geese, no matter the consequences!

Orca panted a laugh, ignoring Onisapher's threat for now. She had yet to see the beta cower to him, and pup-sitters held little rank as far as she was concerned. That did remind her, though: the beta seemed to have vanished. Interesting, as far as pack dynamics went. The number of females in the pack was low, after Nusaik had driven off most of them in competition. She mulled over the idea of laying claim on the position, trying to decide if she even wanted it. Orca was not a particularly ambitious wolf, but did care about having a strong pack.
She stood and stretched unconcernedly, now, turning her attention to the sky. The hive-born wolf was ready to begin the hunt, but would wait for Dust's permission. She wondered, though, if they might sing together, first: a chorus of howls reverberating through the valley was as much a pronouncement of their territory and pack strength as any bloodshed they may wish to cause among the Cross Roads pack.

Nero watched without a word, but those who would know how he can be will see how he's laughing by the wrinkle of his eyes, and see his interest in their lighted expression. Onisapher is the Miseo? He'd wondered of Blast, so the brute must be dead. That was how a new high rank position opened in Shadow Hive, there was no stepping down. This was unheard of. And he had a younger brother, was it by the same parents? were they truly related? It did not matter he supposed. "My Lady" Nero says softly in his graveled voice, and bows his head in a curt, polite manner. He notices that Orca stands, she, like him, born in the hive is accustomed to this. He's not sure if he did catch Dust's attention, but speaks anyway. Those near enough would catch it "What I had seen of the geese flying in as well was a good one. Their flock has swelled high in the Summer months, however, I do have my concerns for the oncoming winter." He will wait to be addressed upon it, should his opinion be of interest to her, if not he'll let it drop.

She gives a nod to Envy, not only will the reptile have his bite, but the whip like tail. Gaze then drifts to Wrath, "No, no poison, you may have trouble with the geese, but paralysis will be good." The words are followed with a nod to the snake. The sins are terribly useful, for they are always a different species, those of power too. A low toned voice slips into her ears, which flick at the sound of Nero. Looking to the male, her head tilts just ever so slightly. A subtle smirk, his opinion causes her to be curious, "Speak." She commands, looking the male dead in the eye and awaiting this concern of his.
As she waits, her mind is drifting to Blast and Nusaik, dead and missing. A thought flashes, to tell of what has happened and what is now going on. She will in due time, atleast when Nero is finished speaking. Then back to scale the tree, to tell the pack of what positions they may want to work for. Looking to Wrath for a moment, tail flicking at the snake, although not in a rude manner but more of taunting play. Her pet is one who never seems to recieve punishment, although there has been the bitter word every now and then. Such an odd relationship for the two different species. Eyes wander to Orca for a moment, one who has been in Shadow Hive, like Nero, very long. The markings of the female have always interested Dust, very odd markings indeed.

He nods only once, again, his plain brown eyes closing as he does, trusting his Alpha should she choose to harm him. That's what closing his eyes means, trust. He opens them again however, but his eyes are on Dust's nose, for he will look anyone else eye to eye except his Alpha. "The winters have been fair these past few years, and the Summer was rather hot. I recall Gieris whom was set upon the weather with great fixation. If I remember right he's about 8...9 now, he sought to understand patterns and was speaking that such mild weather in the winter past followed by a harsh Summer begets a weird winter, strong and deep."
This may seem nonsensical, but Nero likes to consider some of those kinds of things. It's important. Though it may pressure the pack to try harder, it's better to be safe then starve. Though they are lucky to have an abundance of deer on their side of the river, provided they don't migrate further South past the lake.

Listening intently, it seems to make sense to Dust, who seemed to have an underlying sense that perhaps this Winter would be a bit more rough. Nevertheless, they would survive, Dust was set upon that. "Then remember such things and get as many geese as possible." The canine replies, wandering away back to her tree. Scaling up the twisting limbs until she is once more high above her pack, gaze looking to each of them before giving more news.
"Blast has been killed by the likes of Cross Road." She spat to the wolves, obviously bitter about the demise of the Miseo. "Nusaik, is also gone, she has fled her position, and I can only hope, she was engulfed by bears." These words held bitter venom, foolish Nusaik, pah. Claws dig themselves into soft, decaying bark as to keep the wolf steady. Dust takes a daring few stops along the thicker part of the branch, slowly becoming better as the creature begins to pace. "Obviously this leaves positions open for those of you who want to get off your lazy rumps." Dust sneers, looking about at the wolves once more. Dust is growing anxious though, the time of geese was slowly creeping closer, too slow for her liking.

Solstice had long since closed her eyes. she found it easier to remember without the distractions of the eye. She wanted to remember everything that was being said here, and in the larger meeting sure to follow. For to her remembrance was everything.. it was after all her livelihood. Solstice opens her eyes to see that Dust had now elevated herself. ' Shit...' She thought as she realized how easily she could be seen from above. In her brief moment of shock her tail flicked and rustled some leaves. Cursing to herself some more, Solstice took no time in backing away far enough that she could stand and turn around without being seen by the group.
" I have to get back to the lake." Solstice muttered as she tore off towards where she had been wandering from the past several days. As she ran thoughts of Nero kept flashing in her head, Solstice just hoped that Dust hadn't seen her so that nothing would happen to Nero. " All this trouble because I'm nosy as hell..." She said before going into complete silence besides the padding of her feet on the earth as she continued to run.

Listening intently, Derby stares at Dust with full interest in what she was saying. Perhaps his brother would make Miseo and teach him even more? Like how to fight dirty with other wolves...sneaking behind perhaps? Nah...that was a weakness to fight dirty, though they were Shadow hive. The pup's amber eyes stared at Dust then back to Onisapher, waiting for a response to his screw up.
-----------------------
Nodding his large brown head to the Alpha, Hakurou was quiet interested in the ranks. He had noticed that there were no betas and he would be glad to earn that rank, almost directly under Dust it was. The though made him grin as his gaze turned quickly to a geese only a few yards away. He had the sudden urge to run out and shred it to pieces, hacking at it with his vicious canines. The male shook his head at the thought and looked to Orca. He had neither liked nor disliked the wolf, so he continued with his judging.
His blue gaze then drifted to Nero, a male who he highly disliked. Just looking at him made his Hakurou's hair bristle and muscles tense. how irritating he was! Making smart comments like he did when Hakurou first meet the Alpha of Shadow Hive, not too many days ago. because the male wolf was so angered now, he cared not to judged he others that were present, but rather turned his gaze back to Dust.
--------------------------
Wrath looked to Dust and slightly nodded his head in regard to her orders on how he killed. "Thisss one will only paralyze, though thisss one highley dissslikes geessse for they tend to pick at sssserpentssss." Leaves rustled while the serpant wove through all of the pack member's legs, his sand-colored scales rubbing against all their legs. Returning to Dust, he decided to climb back onto her back, feeling as if she may have calmed down a tiny bit.
--------------------------
Envy step back towards the shadows, feeling as if he were intriding on their "gathering". When it was time, he would kill for the wolves, but he will not interrupt the alpha in the current mood she was in. A deep hiss left Envy's throat on occasion, indicating that he was still present.
----------------------
Just looking at Wrath made the female dog want to stomp and claw at him. She hated the sin so, mainly because of himself so highly as if he were Pride. A growl escaped her maw as she suddenly noticed it was rather loud. A smile emerged on her face, wondering what Dust would think of it.
