Confident stride, a face void of emotion as the bored canine wandered toward the center of Shadow Hive. There, a rotting and twisted tree stood, obviously decaying from it's color. This was where she was to slink up to one of the lower, winding branches. Standing high, or at least to her. Charcoal claws dug into the bark of the tree, giving her a firm grip upon it. With her rump pressed against the tree trunk for further confidence, it seems she's done this many times over.
A scraggly looking wolf approached, his fur thin and a blond coloring. Eyes of a seemingly panicked brown staring up at the alpha, his snaggle tooth showing upon his frowning lips. His figure seems to shake with little confidence, eyes averted to the ground. "A-Alpha." He stammers meekly, hoping she would not grow annoyed with his lack of backbone. His only answer is a 'Hmmnn?' and so he continues, "G-Geese." Curse him for not having the strength like his brother. Foolish of him, damn it all. Finally, a shaky gaze raises to the female perched in the winding tree she was often seen in.
He almost jumps out of his skin, her eyes are in a direct stare down with his. Dust seems like some sort of owl, hunched over and just, staring. He half expects her to swoop down and pick him up at any second. Stumbling back, Dust lets out a few chuckles before tilting her head. "The geese are here?" She inquires, her tone is the usual harsh one with it's feminine charms. Nodding he whines and slowly backs away further to allow the alpha as much space as possible. Having done his deed, the male shrinks back to lay beside a bush.
Dust watches him for a few lingering moments before deciding her point of action. She throws back her head, vocals soaring high into the air and easily echoing off the mountain walls. It's high in pitch and quite loud if one should say. Eerie as it calls forth every Shadow Hive member within the territory. Like summoning death itself, the song lingers in the air, chilling to the ear. Slowly but surely, it begins to die away. Bushy tail flicking and twitching behind her, pleased with the outcome of such a song.
She awaits for the pack, it will be the first time in a very long time, that they will all be together. Should she find one missing, it would spell tragedy for them, and in front of the mass. Ears set forward, Dust waits for the sound of them, to hear them slinking from all angles. Awaiting the time when breathing and paw steps will mix into the air. She is anticipating a grand outcome, to see each of those destructive beings in one place. There is even a shiver of some sort of sick delight at such a thought.

Ears twitching curiously "Hm?" he grinned hearing a familar call. Turning, his large red ears swiveled in the direction, he howled back before going towards Dust. Rather large, with dark red and white fur. Mckenna was one that oddly enjoyed things that were dead, collecting them and keeping it burried somewhere different everytime. Digging his claws into the ground before darting off to find Dust.
Golden eyes focused ahead, standing out greatly against his white face. Top part of his coat a light red, just a few shades under a blood colour, his legs, face and belly was white. Slowing slightly, head tilting as he peeked at the alpha female. "Ah, Good afternoon Dust.. It has been quite long" he grinned.
Bowing his head at the female wolf Mckenna stepped forward, tail giving a lazy wag. It had indeed been some time since he had last seen Dust, and so far.. She hadn't seemed to change much, he had actually missed her sharp tongue and cruel manner's. Sitting a few feet in front of the female a grin still sat upon his short, thick muzzle. Top canines visible, something he didn't mind, they had grown in doubled but the front ones were longer then the pair sitting just behind.

Onisapher, large and muscular was still quick upon his massive paws. Drool dribbled from his chin as his body swayed from left to right as his ears swiveled forward at the sound of his Alpha's howl. Being as loyal as he were, he hesitated not to reply with his own deep gruff howl to alert her he was on his way. Tilting his muzzle upward, he allowed his gruesome fangs to part as a death howl escaped his jugular as the rhythm of his paws didn't stop for a moment. Onisapher is one of the most loyal pack members there was, not to say that others weren't, but he stuck by his word and his Alpha til death do them part. His pace quickened as Dust's form was in sight as he dipped his muzzle as he approached. "Dust, miss. Sorry for my absence. I should have come quicker." he apologized before making eye contact with her as he reclined upon his overly-muscular hind quarters, awaiting directions from her.

Orca came trotting into the clearing, carrying with her the head and spine of what smelt like was once a coyote. She dropped it casually at the edge of the clearing, her body language not claiming it as a personal meal, simply an announcement of her latest kill. The black-backed wolf said nothing, merely padding forward with a faint smile on her black lips, snapping at the brown wolf just to see him recoil. Without actually looking at Dust, she bowed her head to her alpha while turning her dark-sky gaze over the other wolves. First, she looked around specifically for Nusaik, curious as to what the Beta had been up to this past month or more.
'Hmm,' she thought to herself. 'Beta should be one of the first to respond? Wonder if she died.'
She turned her dark eyes to Onisapher and Mckenna, contemplatively. She had smelt Onisapher around, but hadn't met him, before. His body language was fairly dominant, and she was curious as to where he lay in the pecking order. '...and... where is that imbecile, Blast?'
As for Mckenna, this was a wolf that she knew, and it was good to see an old face with all of the strangers that had come and gone the past few months. She sat next to him at the base of Dust's perch, just out of bite range, sniffing the chill October air and the gathering scents of her pack. She knew what time it was, and was looking forward to it.

Nero's ears turned, the distant echos of his Alpha resound through those swerving auds and he turns more to catch where they come from. He was thankful he was close, for Nero was coming to report the very same thing that had been told to Dust not long before. The geese have flown in. It was time...
He broke free of the tree line into the clearing where the pack was gathering, and set himself off to the right but still in the middle. Ramrod strait of back (for a wolf), tail out behind him sending up little eddies of Dust as is swishes lazily. His flat brown eyes looking from one pack member to another, some he knows by name and face, some by face alone. If this is not about the fall gather then he will address it to his Alpha, however, she is clever, and probably knows.

Solstice walked along the edge of the area. She had heard a familiar howl, from one that had caused her to take quite a pleasent tumble into some very cold water just a few days before. Her body lay flat, staying just in the shadows, years of practice in stealth would hopefully pay off. Solstice had been tailing a few choice members of this pack for the past day. Always in the shadows, as she was thought to be dead, Solstice had escaped notice. For once her tail stood still as she watched the occassion, one that she would keep in her mind forever, as was her duty as a Lore-keeper.
Solstice's eyes always wandered to Nero before quickly darting off back to Dust. Her facination with Nero was an annoyance to her but she couldn't deny it for much longer, she deffiantly like him. A very dangerous choice since she knew Dust would have her dead the second they realized she was still alive. Thinking back on their first encounter... probably would have been good to keep her mouth shut about the Alpha. Just her being heere was pure stupidity, but her affection for Nero and just basic knowledge wouldn't let her sit in the overly friendly pack across the river.

Onisapher lowered his large gruesome muzzle to the others, drool splattered upon the ground from the overly-salivating male as he grew restless in that moment. He began to grow restless as his massive paws thudded against the ground impatiently. He knew that he was well established in the pack, but something was up. Why had Dust gathered them, and more importantly.... why hadn't she spoken up yet? His tail twitched as his eyes became glued to his Alpha, anxiously awaiting her orders as his muscles tensed up quite a bit.

Mckenna glanced at Onisapher after hearing the faint sound of liquid on the ground, he frowned. Something with the black male never sat right with Mckenna, making him scowl slightly in disgust/unsureness. Running his tongue over his lips, the red and white wolf looked up at Dust once more. His claws kneading the dirt, large paws stained with old blood from a few new corpses he had collected. He wreacked of dead and rot, not minding the smell he had gotten quite used to it, and rather enjoyed it..

Her gaze swept over the assembly, taking care to glance at each wolf as they drew closer. A soft 'hmmmn' escapes her throat as if she is deep in thought, though her announcement is one quite simple. Before the silence can totally set in, save for the few noises from her pack, Dust begins. "Geese, have flown over the territories." Charcoal claws scrape at the bark of the decaying tree. There is a drawn out pause, letting the words sink in before proceeding.
"This means, we must have an alliance, with Cross Roads- for such a time." It seems the word 'alliance' is hesitated, such a sickening word. It's hardly an alliance but more of a temporary, 'we won't kill you' type of deal. While she expects a few growls, perhaps even a few bitter words, Dust will only reply with snarls to silence such wolves. She is speaking, no one should be even making the slightest of noises. "You kill geese and only geese." Dust commands to those of Shadow Hive.
"These will be used for Winter and as for the Cross Road mutts, don't touch them." The last about the Cross Road wolves, this is in warning. Eyes narrowing slightly, shifting between the sight of each wolf. She has in mind, a few wolves that might just try and take a snap at those morons, Dust would watch those select few with warily. Tail flicks and sways behind her, the announcement is done. "You will follow me to the lake, when the time is right." Are the final words, awaiting now for the responses of her wolves.

Mckenna nodded a slight growl had escaped him at the though of being close to the Cross Road wolves, he frowned making his double canines fully visible. "Of course Dust.." he nodded before clicking his teeth together. Long claws raking into the dirt, he would obey the alpha female.. But only because he did not want to be killed where he stood. Dust was the sort of wolf no one wanted to make angry.. Might get bitten in the face or much much worse..

Onisapher lowered his muzzle, for he loved to fuck with the Cross Roads mutts. This was his favorite past time, and he knew that they were great fun to break in half. However, he worked too hard to get to this point in the pack... being the almost Misaeo in the pack was big stuff for him. He was surely a weapon, and knew it well. "Understood, Dust." he said with a slight nod, "Geese." he repeated her as he listened in on her command as he listened to her velvet pricker bush of words spill out of her muzzle as she sternly eyed each pack member one by one down the row, as she got to him. He locked in with her gaze, then following her eyes to another wolf. This, was going to be an adventure of a life time.

A orange figure could be seen running through the trees, his stubby little legs tumbled multiple times as the small pup ran through the forest, responding to his alpha's call. Derby's tail swished around and leaves crunched under his small black feet. The pup was now a month old and felt himself getting stronger every day. Upon entering the clearing, Derby was panting heavily, his small pink tongue hanged out of his mouth. "I have arrived Dust...." There was some nervousness in his voice as to if he were going to get his head chewed off. Maybe he was late and Dust would claw his face? He did not know, but only wondered.
---------------------------------
Hakurou took off the instant he heard Dust's howl. He was farther off, sniffing and getting familiar with the territory, so it took the brown male a little longer to arrive. His ears stood straight up in an act of listening as he approached Dust, but instead of full-out sprinting towards her he slowed to a slow trot. Arriving in front of strangers he did not yet know, Hakurou bowed his head to Dust, raising it back and staring at her with his blueish-green eyes.
-----------------------------------
The serpent was rather close to Dust and only had to slither a mile to reach her. Upon entering the gathering, Wrath stayed hidden in the leaves, oblivious to any wolf's pondering eyes. His black tongue flicked out constantly as he slithered upon Dust's back. "Thissss one isss presssent in the massster'ssss ssservicesss." His small horns slightly rubbed against Dust's ears.
--------------------------------------
Lust did not feel as if she was needed to Dust's howl, but ran towards it anyways. Her thick and heavy fure gently flowed with the breeze as she sprinted towards Dust. Her thick, small ears stood up in a more relaxed position. Though she was half dog, large claw marks were engraved into the ground from where her paws ran upon. Dust came into view and the sin slowed down to a walk, her hips automatically swayed in a luring motion. Lust's seductive blue-eyes looked into every wolf's before Dust's. "What do you need now?" It was not disrespectful, but more of a simple question.
---------------------------------
Envy took great interest in Dust and was interested as to why she howled for her pack. A load and envious hiss escaped his mouth as the giant monitor lizard broke into a full out sprint, running as fast as 30 miles per hour. He reached Dust pretty quickly and relaxed his scaly grey skin. Black claws dug deep into the ground, shattering leaves and any weeds. "I am not one of your 'pets' wolf, but I believe you are most wise and because of that, and the fact that I do not envy you, I will stand by your side today for...whatever the reason is." His long, whip-like tail lashed around in a bored manner.

Onisapher quickly grabbed his young kin, and shut him up. He leaned down, whispering into his ear, "Derby, kid. You gotta stay quiet when the wrath of Dust is present. Please... I'd like you to stick around for a while." he said as he then let him go knowing the pup would stay close. The large onyx male only hoped Derby would understand that he'd learn all he needed to know about being a weapon by sticking with him. Most knew that Onisapher was a weapon, and a danger to others... thus reason enough for keeping the runt close. He hoped that Derby would get the hint to not move too much, but pups are not great listeners and he knew this well. Thus, keeping a paw loose to grab him if he were to dart off again.

Mckenna glanced around oddly, as different creatures came into view. Glancing over he rolled his eyes at the enterance of a young pup. "Young hairball" he muttered under his breath. Exhaling deeply before staring up at Dust once more /Wonder where Daxter is../ he looked around. Knowing his brute, bear like brother fit in well with the pack. Mckenna merely melted in for his odd fetish for things that had no life left in them what so ever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trotting quickly through the forest, he had heard the leader call and was curious as to what it was about. Black tongue running over his lips as he entered the small clearing he saw his pack gathered. A mass of dark brown fur, muscle along with complete and total hatred for most living beings. Hazed over, dark brown eyes glared down at a young wolf maybe close to Daxter's knee height. Sitting close to his brother, he glared down at his slightly smaller brother, waiting for a 'It's about time' or something more stupid..

Having been born here, lived here all his life and was use to this he stayed silent. While it was not wonderful it was life, and was an expected happening each year. Should it ever now...who knew what it would signify for the Break Ridge Valley residence?
He is unaware of being watched by Solstice, He'd searched down the river some, and never found her. She must have come out to the lake, but he had no time to head that far down to see if she had had a chance, at least not at that point in time. Some of him hoped that perhaps she had succeeded in surviving, addle as she was, odd as she was it was his hope. He clung to that inside, while remaining cool and untouched on the outside.
