As Velkan walked around trees and branches, he could feel Krismorel's uneasiness. Stopping for a moment, taking his right hand Velkan unhooked his sword from his belt and gave it to her. "It this with soothe your unease, take it. I have my throwing knives." The High Elf has been protective and caring for Kirsmorel for a long time.\, even though she could take care of herself. It was only a male instinct it was to be protective of one you love.
Coming into a clearing, rushing water could be heard. The stream came into sight and it was beautiful. For a stream it was somewhat large, the water sparkled. Small fresh water fish swimmed around within it only to have their lives taken from a hungry robin. A faun and a doe as well as a buck approached the stream and had their fill. They took no head of the elves, for this was a peaceful place. The sun reflected brilliantly off the water. Letting go of Krismorel's hand proved difficult for Velkan but he managed. "This, Sister is a peaceful place where animals stay calm as do those who visit. It will not be long till the humans find it..."

Krismorel looked at him and slowly took the sword, keeping it by her side as if protectively. Her eys continued to stray towards him, her hand grasping his almost tightly as Zaria walked right beside her. The warmth of her companion's fur comforted her, reminding her how out-of-place she was being today. She could stick up for herself, but for some odd reason she seemed more weak then ever.
As they arrived to the stream, she only let go of his hand when he let go of hers'. "Beautiful.." She murmured with a smile, then it suddenly vanished from her lips. "I surely hope they don't find this place. They would ruin it within a day... or less."

Nodding his head Velkan stared back out to the stream. Walking over to it he knelt down and drank a few hand fulls of water. "This place would diminish the minute a human stepped foot in it. Their retched stench would consume everything, frightening all the animals away." The sound of shouting filled the High Elf's ears and he turned abruptly, staring at Krismorel with worry. "Humans...not too far from here, a few miles east." They could just run off, but the humans would eventually come across this place. "We must draw them away Sister or else this place will perish. We need to lead them around this place and then lose them or kill them, of course mattering on how hostile they are."

Krismorel looked worried, and nodded at him. She looked at him, as if needing to clear the air of tension and fear, "I could shoot them in the foot..? I'm sure that would be enough." She sighed deeply and loosened her shoulders so they drooped, "Or a few arrows and knives flinging their way, followed by a crazed cat." She gave a sly look at Zaria, who clearly was intently watching them as if she had her claws on the humans.

Velkan shook his head, for he had a better idea. "I believe we should kill them, for it we don't they will report this to other humans only to bring a whole army out after us. The only weakness will be if they have archers...I only have five knives at this moment." He tensed, pulling his hood back over his head to hide his ears. Without looking to see if Krismorel was following the high Elf began to run at a slow pace towards the voices.

Krismorel nodded, blushing at how foolish she felt. It took a brief moment to realize that he was already heading off, and she followed silently. Oh, she dearly wished she was in her more camouflaged armor. The one she used for recon. (The other one, all green xD) But it was too late to go back now, all or nothing. She increased her pace slightly, the rattling of her plate faint but still there. She winced as if it was sensitive to her ears, so she fell into a swift walk after Velkan. Zaria pelted ahead of her to trot swiftly beside the High Elf, making her blink in some surprise. Normally, she only walked beside her.

There was no clearing where the humans were, but it was a scouting part. Four large men all stepped around fire as well as a lute player and a servant girl. She poor girl had scars allover her face, arms, legs, and back from whip makes. how could they treat one another like that? With a swift movement of his hand, five throwing knives sharp and read where held in-between each of Velkan's fingers. Would he kill the girl? He might have to, though it would make her life much easier if he did so. Turning quietly around the High Elf motioned with his fingers that there were four hostiles and 2 non.

Krismorel nodded, pulling an arrow from her quiver and fitting it expertly on her bow. Her eyes scanned the area slowly as she watched each human for a brief moment before looking to the next. She pulled the arrow back on the string a few centimeters before freezing and looking at Velkan. After a few seconds, she looked to Zaria. She was under the brush, claws extended as she awaited the chance to lash out at the humans. It almost seemed as if she too had scored to settle with the greedy race. Krismorel couldn't blame her, still wishing for her scouting armor. 'I'm going to get it after this...' She thought as she stifled a groan, the armor seeming more heavy than before for unknown reasons.

The servant girl must have given one of them men the wrong drink, for all of a sudden one of the soldiers jumped up and was walking towards her with a whip. Zeroing in on his targets, Velkan thrusts his knives at them all at once. Two went straight through the soldier with the whip, falling to the floor instantly. One missed a guards eye by an inch while another stuck through a guards hand. The last knife only grazed the lute player's ear. swords unsheathed now the guards confusingly looked around as to where the attack came from. Motioning with his hand, he gave Krismorel the single to fire at will.

Krismorel gave a small glance at Velkan and then closed an eye, firing. Her arrow whizzed through the air, glinting off the sun before burying itself deep within the chest of one of the guards that seemed untouched by Velkan's knives. Before she even realized what was happening, she saw Zaria giving a roar as she charged through the scout camp. Her movements a zig-zagged white-blue blur as she plummeted right into the guard that had the knife in hand. Her long fangs sunk deep within his shoulder, if not all the way through as her strong jaws locked down. Her head lashed back and forth before she retreated from the now limp body of the guard, blood dribbling down her fangs and chin. Her fur bristled as her eyes flashed around, daring any to come near her.

Running over to Krismorel swiftly, Velkan grabbed his long sword and rushed the lute player who turned out to be a guard as well. He had no weapon though and the High Elf's Sword ran through the guard's chest like a scalpel to skin. The guard fell to his knees, eyes full of confusion as Velkan's green eyes stared into his. "Y...you're an elf? W..we were killed by bloody elves." At those words fire raged within Velkan's eyes as he brought his sword out and thrusted through the man once more, killing him for sure. Pulling the blade back out the High Elf ran up to the servant girl and hit her with great force against the temple, causing brain damage and perhaps even memory loss. Looking to where Kirsmorel was Velkan motioned that all was over and no casualties had become of them.

Krismorel looked to the bodies, then to him. She sighed in relief and stepped from the trees, Zaria trotting over to her and circling around her legs to inspect to see if her Master was fine. Satisfied, she stalked over to Velkan and did the same, a bit more times than Krismorel before finally becoming satisfied. Even with herself, she sat down and began to groom a paw with her rugged-feeling tongue. Krismorel looked at him, relief even in her eyes as she removed her shoulder plates. As if her shoulder muscles cramped, she rolled them a few times and smiled slightly. "Well that went better than expected, eh?" She looked at him, blinking as she waited for an answer.

Velkan did not make eye contact with Krismorel, for he felt somewhat guilty for crippling the servant whose life was already miserable. "I suppose, though we should not linger. I suggest it is time to head back, for night is falling." Looking through the dead bodies the high Elf searched for any throwing knives. Only finding three a silent sigh escaped his maw. Looking to Krimorel with ease now, there was a faint hint of a smile. "Sister, what would you prefer to do? We could camp at the stream for it seems to be a clear night, or we could return to the mourning elves back at camp."

Krismorel looked back towards their own camp and bit her lip for a moment. "Could we go back? Just for a moment, enough to get out of this armor..." She said as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. It seemed as if the armor was getting more heavy, possibly because of exhaustion. Zaria already trotted ahead of her, some-what eager to get out of this place. Feeling the same way, Krismorel followed right behind her companion.

Nodding his head Velkan then followed after Krismorel. He would like to change as well, for not only was he wearing the cloak but mithril, light-leather armor, and heavy-steel armour as well. If they returned to camp and she did not want to return, Velkan would respect that but he would still come back to the stream. To him it seemed the best place to lay down and watch the stars. Still staying alert the high elf then sheathed his sword and quickly caught up to Kris, handin her the sword to borrow once again.
