Smiling, Velkan gave a nod of understanding to krismorel. "Then sleep well, Sister for those few hours. Then perhaps we could go hunting?" As he said this a small growl escaped his stomach and he began to laugh. Grabbing his sword, the high elf ran up the rock next to where he was sleeping and sat upon it, a leg bent up as a use for leverage. Eyeing the one he loved he smiled and gave her a good night hand gesture.

Krismorel gave him a sweet smile before laying back on the grass, watching the stars begin to slowly fade from the sky. She relaxed her muscles and kept her cloak tightly wrapping around her as she slowly closed her eyes. Already she could feel herself slipping off into sleep, and she sighed in content. Not long after, she had soon feel asleep.

Velkan's green gaze turned away from Kris to the forest, for animals were awakening and beginning to roam around. Bears were quiet common in these forests as well as some wild boars. All seemed peaceful throughout the night though, for nothing had disturbed the two elves as of this night. -Skip to morning- The sun was almost fully up and with this the high elf jumped down to the ground, making no sound as he did so. Going to Kris he lightly shook her to awake, for it was time to return to camp and hunt. Different birds and animals began to approach the stream, now no longer cautious of the two elves that stayed there. It was somewhat loud for an elf's ear, for all the birds were singing with joy.

Krismorel slowly opened her eyes to meet Velkan's, giving a small smile. Her heart lifted, knowing Zaria was awaiting at the camp probably waited for her own return. Swiftly, she rose to her feet and straightened out her cloak and clothing, running a hand through her hair a few times. Looking to Velkan, she then strayed her eyes back towards the camp. "Shall we go?" She asked, already taking a step toward the camp with excitement in her eyes.

Nodding his head Velkan began to walk back to camp, believing that Kris was following. He would not go anywhere during the daytime without his cloak, armor, and throwing knives for one did not know when an ambush of men would come upon them, though most of the time Velkan always heard human's clumsiness within the forest, unlike the elves who could run as fast as they wanted without making a single sound. The sound of a falcon brought Velkan to attention, for it sounded like his old friend. Sadly he was disappointed for it was not even the same type of falcon. Sadness found its way into his heart and eyes for he felt somewhat lonely now.

Krismorel followed right beside Velkan, eager to get back to see Zaria and possibly go hunting. Hopefully the day will always be this good as it was right at that moment, her eyes shining and ready for anything. She hadn't planned to change, finding herself more swift and silent in her scout gear. She flicked her blue eyes to Velkan and her heart sank at the lonely look in them. Hearing the falcon, she looked up and noticed it fly by. She looked at Velkan, as if to ask something but she remained silent. Her heart sank at the lonely look in his eyes, and she moved her hand slowly to grab his. Her palm flattened against his as her fingers entwined with Velkan's. Giving a small, comforting squeeze she continued to walk beside him.

The high elf smiled, for he felt no longer lonely. "Forgive me for being done on such a peaceful morning, but every time I hear the cry of a falcon's cry I think of my old companion." Eyes growing sad once more, Velkan squeezed his hand. They were still a good bit aw ways from camp and it would be a few hours before they arrived. An elf could get lonely without an animal companion or another Elvin companion. The sound of the falcon was much closer now and the high elf grew curious. Again it called out, but for assistance. The calling had the hint of pain within it. Quickly Velkan let go of Krismorel's hand and ran towards the sound, only to the small raptor bird upon the ground with a broken wing.

Krismorel watched him go and she soon followed, her pace swift as she made her way to the cry of the falcon. She slowed her pace to a complete stop when her eyes looked to the ground, seeing the bird with a fractured wing. Sadness clouded her eyes as she walked over and kneeled beside it, her eyes scanning the bird for any other fractures before her own eyes locked with its'. She saw the fear in its' eyes and she slowly extended a hand to brush between its' eyes slowly, as if trying to comfort before she rose back to her feet and looked to Velkan.

Velkan ran up to the falcon as well, waiting for Krismorel to finish her check. "A fractured wing is all I currently see. Id there anything else wrong with him?" locking his green eyes into the falcon, the high elf bent down and strocked the raptor's head gently, comforting the pain. The bird was quite a beauty for its chest was golden yellow with a few black feathers here and there while the rest of the body was a dark brown. The raptor's eyes were brown with a tint of maroon. Looking at the wing Velkan made a sigh. "There's no way he shall be able to fly again. the whole bone is just ripped out of the wing.

Krismorel nodded and looked back down at the bird. "Do you think we should bring him back to the camp and do what we can to help his wound? It is probably the least we could do at the moment." She sighed and shook her head, ready to pick up the bird and take him as quickly as she could back to the camp. Her eyes flicked to Velkan and searched his own eyes for a moment before slowly straying them back to the injured creature on the ground, her eyes seeing the obvious fear inside them as they flicked from Krismorel to Velkan over and over again.

Velkan nodded his head and hastly picked up the creature and began to run towards camp. the falcon was losing a lot of blood and would die soon if it did not get some help. Ripping a part of his robe off, the high elf gently tied the cloth around the falcon's wing. What would they do with it? A bird that was meant to fly that can no longer do so is a dead bird in the wild. Looking back Velkan checked to see if Krismorel was coming, guilty of just picking the bird up and bolting off.

Krismorel ran behind him, ready to do anything for the dying creature. It wasn't long until she had caught up with Velkan, running side by side with him. Her eyes constantly flickered over to the bird, pondering if it was still conscious and alright. Worry clouded her eyes as she ran faster and faster, wondering if they could get back to the camp in time to save the poor creature.

Arriving to the camp the high elf hurriedly went to the elder, giving him the poor bird that was slowly dying. The elder gave him and Krismorel a "We shall see," and walked into his caravan without another word. Worry overcame Velkan for he cared for all creatures of the forest, big or small. But particularly falcons, for he has had history with the creatures. Looking to Krismorel, a glance of worridness was within his green eyes as he went to gather his armor and knives, for they must hunt to let the time pass by.

Krismorel looked at him and sighed sadly at his worried look. She cared for him, and dearly didn't want to see him look to bent out of shape. Before he left to gather his things, she took a few steps towards him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Pulling herself close to him, she hugged him in a comforting manner and placed her chin on his shoulder. "He'll be fine, don't worry," she murmured softly as her hand brushed a few strands of his hair from his face.

Velkan accepted Krismorel's hug and murmured. "I hope so, for no animal deserves to die in a unruly manner." Once at his caravan, the high elf changed into his armor, pulling his cloak on last. He felt much more comfortable now and walked back over to Kris morel. "Let us hunt to let the time pass, for it will be a while before there is any news of our little friend." A though rung in his mind and it brought him some hint of hope for the little bird. "If the falcon shall live, we shall name her Estel for hope, for that is all that the bird now has." he paused, realizing Zaria was not yet with them. "Would you like to bring your fellow companion? I am positive she is hungry as well."
