Krismorel gave a small nod to him and at the name choosing. "Excellent choosing, then." She turned her head and looked to Zaria, who was already rising to her paws and arching her back in a stretch. Her maw was open in a yawn, her large and rather white fangs giving a dangerous flash. Bristling her snow-colored and black spotted fur she spotted her Master and Velkan through slitted eyes. Slowly she padded over, her lithe motions graceful as she circled herself around her Master. Her body weaving in and out of her legs in a figure eight style and growling as if a warning never to be out without her companion ever again. Krismorel gave a light chuckle and patted Zaria's head a few times before withdrawing and looking back to Velkan. "Where shall we hunt?" She asked as she slid her arm through the quivers' strap and bow string, having it over her shoulder now.

Velkan patted Zaria on the head gently and quickly, then turning his green eyed gaze to Krismorel. "Let us merely travel and see what we shall find. Perhaps we shall be lucky and find us a large meal! Either way, whatever we find I shall save some meat for the poor falcon." He would need a bow to hunt, for it seemed more natural to hunt that way. Walking back to his caravan Velkan grabbed a simply made yew bow and walked back out. It was not special in any way shape or form. It was a recurve bow that was made with a simple shadow of brown. "Let us be off then," he stated as he began to walk into the forest once more with the one he loved.

Krismorel glanced once at Zaria, who returns the look before she trots off after him. Zaria keeps behind both of them, her head hanging low and her muscles flexing with every step. She looked at Velkan and couldn't help but walk closer to him. "You sure you will be alright?" She asked, concerned for him. She didn't understand what he was going through, but she cared for all creatures as equally as he did. She leaned on him slightly and looked into his eyes.

Velkan looked into Krismorel's eyes with more joy than sadness now, glad that she had come along with him to hunt. "I shall be fine, it is only poor Estel that I am worried about. I do not know why i care so much, maybe because of my recent companion or maybe because I feel more connected to animals than others, almost as if I can feel their pain and fear. Whatever the reason I do not know." As he said this his hand was thrown up to stop Kirs for continuing on. "Ho....there seems to be something up ahead." Grabbing his bow the high elf strung an arrow and crouched, silently walking towards whatever he sensed. A bush blocked his view and he silently moved it out of his view.
A large female moose stood before the elf, grazing upon the grass. He sighed, for Velkan did not believe in killing animals that hold young within them, or in another sense he did not believe in killing most female animals.

Krismorel fitted an arrow to her bow and watched the female moose quietly, unsure of what to do. Zaria was already crouched, licking her chops as she was ready to strike. Baring her fangs, she flattened her ears against her head and watched silently. Inching closer to Velkan, she leaned towards his ear slowly, "What should we do now Brother?" She asked, her eyes flicking over the moose observantly.

The two elves would most likely not get another chance to find such a big meal, so Velkan would break his vow for a brief moment. "Let us kill the creature, for we shall not come across such a large meal for many days to come." Aiming at the moose, Velkan readied himself to release the arrow from its string. Looking to Krismorel he asked, "Would you like the honors? I would prefer not to break my vow of not killing animals that bear their young, though I may break it for a brief moment."

Krismorel looked at him and nodded, guilt clutching her as well as anger. Like him, she had a vow never to harm another who was baring children. But hesitantly she closed an eye and aimed her arrow straight at the beast. Pulling back the string and arrow, she watched in some horror as her hands began to shake. Closing her eyes tight, she launched the arrow. Slowly opening them, her heart sank as the arrow landed a few feet short and scared the moose. She quickly wheeled around and ran off, disappearing into the forest. Slowly, Krismorel aimed her eyes at the ground with shame.

Looking to Krismorel, Velkan smiled, somewhat relieved that she missed. He lifted his hand to her cheek, pulling her face to look at him. "Do not be shameful Sister, for it was not the will of the creators for you to kill that beast today. Let us continue looking shall we? Perhaps we will run into a few rabbits." Taking his hand off kris's cheek, the high elf stood and looked to Zaria, taking in the features of the animal. She was quite a beauty she was, how lucky Krismorel was to have such a loyal and strong companion.

Krismorel smiled at him, comforted by his words. As he rose, she rose as well and looked down to Zaria. Disappointment shone in her eyes, but it was gone in a flash as she heard the 'tweet' of a bird. Somehow, as if she gave up her graceful ways in being alone, her eyes grew wide and she followed it. Dazed by the red cardinal, she followed and even stood on her hind legs, lashing out at it with claws sheathed. Chuckling, Krismorel whistled to call her back. After a moment, Zaria finally realized what had happened and growled before turning and stalking back to her Master.

Velkan smiled at Zaria then took his green gaze back to the one he loved. "There is a river not too far off that I can hear faintly, for it is a rather rough river. I am positive there may be some mammals towards that area, for there must be vegetation where there is water." Turning around the high elf slung his bow over his shoulders and began to walk off towards the sound, ducking under a large, fallen branch. If they found nothing to the river, then they would return without a meal, for it has been a few hours now and the Elder should be close to finishing aiding the raptor.

Krismorel stared at Zaria a while longer, finally blinking and looking around. She scurried off after where he had went, Zaria at her heels. Finally catching up to him, she nodded as if she heard him. Truthfully, all she heard was 'stream' in the entire thing he said. Guessing, she thought that there would be either fish to catch your some small mammals. Remaining silent, she followed just a small bit behind him and every now and again her eyes would glance at him. Each time her eyes lit up in joy before she looked away.

Continuing on, the high elf spotted a small rabbit jump by and look to Zaria to perhaps catch it. the rabbit was long gone now and Velkan walked on, his ears intent on listening to the sounds of the forest. It took only a few minutes till they reached the river, rapids seemed like sprinting horses almost. Grabbing his bow and observing his surroundings, Velkan awaited for an animal. There was a rabbit and a weasel on the other side, but the high elf was too focused on finding a bigger meal to shoot the tiny creatures.

Krismorel crouched beside him, fitting yet another arrow to her bow. 'This time I won't miss,' she swore to herself with determination flashing in her eyes. Glancing to Zaria, she saw her already poised to strike and catch any nice sized prey she could get her claws on. Slowly, her eyes moved over the rabbit and weasel before she allowed them to be pushed from her mind.

Seeing as to no other animals were coming at the moment, both he, Zaria, and Krismorel would need to return soon. Looking to Kris he motioned her to aim for the rabbit while he went for the weasel. After doing this Velkan nocked an arrow as well and aimed at the rabbit. He might be good at knife throwing, but he was no master at bow shooting. He released, the arrow dip only grazing the rabbit's side, making it fall onto its side for a brief moment. Cursing under his breath the high elf quickly place another arrow at the ready and shot again before the rabbit could stand up. Breathing out Velkan released, striking the rodent in the heart this time.

Krismorel nodded and closed an eye, aiming her arrow right for the weasel. Pulling back, she expertly let go and the arrow - straight as ever - landed straight into the weasel's head. Of course she aimed for the head, it was an instant kill and the rest of the body would be needed for stew or something else, rather than its' head. Zaria gave a low growl of dis-satisfaction, probably disappointed she was useless on this hunt as well.
